Hello

I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased the Entertainment book that mouse savers promotes. It gives you discounts on hotel, air, car rental and restaurants....

Was it worth the $35 bucks?

Thanks

Lisa

We get one every year and hardly ever use it. We only pay 20 thru school fund raiser and our local one offers the country wide hotel discounts if thats what you're interested in. Also to add using it once often pays for itself. I just got a free gallon of paint from sherman williams with a purchase of one gallon fo that covered my 20$ for the year

Lisa if you are staying on site I would not recommend the Entertainment book. If however, you are offsite, and have a car, there will be more than enough opportunities to get your $35. worth. Visit www.entertainment.com and you will be able to see a list of the offers in the orlando book to judge for yourself. To see the opinions of many other people, search entertainment on the dis boards.

I would agree with the on-site vs. off-site assessment. We got ours for $5 and free postage, so it was no big deal, but we only used the one for House of Blues (which wasn't a big hit with us anyway.) So, I spent five to save $12 or something like that.

I've bought the books for Orlando, Hawaii, Montreal & Ottawa. With the Hawaii book, we saved over $250 and didn't even have time to use more coupons that we wanted to use.
The best thing is to go to entertainment.com and look at the offers in the book and see if you think you might use them and if they fit in your plans.

Lets see, we're saving 50% on 5 nights at HRH in December and 50% off 2 nights at the 5 star Vancouver Pan Pacific Hotel in May.

Our local book is only $20. We don't need Orlando (or Vancouver, BC) books for the hotel or other 'national' discounts. If we wanted to use the discounts at Orlando or Vancouver restaurants, we would need those books for the card/coupons. Our neighbors paid for their book with 1 dinner.

The 'national' discounts are rental cars, cruises, United Air Lines, Planet Hollywood, hollywood Video....

Bottom line: If you mainly want hotel savings, buy your local book if there is one. As others have mentioned, you can check out the entertainment site to see for yourself.

We bought this year (for 2003) and have already saved 50% off our stay at Universal's Hard Rock Hotel. The promotion is not listed in the book, but is on their website. We bought the Chicago book and it has lots of useful things like coupons for $5 on groceries with a $50 purchase. It also has coupons for fast food like McDonalds and Taco Bell as well as savings on oil changes and fine dining. If you buy your local book you should get more than your money's worth. We saved over $400 on our hotel discount alone! Good luck!
