Entering Disneyland through the Tomorrowland Monorail Station

Is this an option for first thing in the morning? We are renting a vacation home that is half a mile away from Downtown Disney. I know that we can leave DL that way, but is there a spot in Downtown Disney that will scan our tickets and let us in through the monorail?

I don't recommend it. It's too unreliable about being open on time. We ended up scurrying down to the main gates behind everyone else in line when it was down the day we tried it.

The station is sort of down across from Earl of Sandwich.

There's a bag check and a turnstile but in the morning it's usually reserved for resort guests. On busy days it may be reserved for resort guests for most of the morning. On the 24 hour day in May it was still resort guests only around 1:30-2pm.

That's kind of what I thought. My thoughts are to use it when we want to go back to the house in the middle of the day, but to start out on the Plaza and go through the main gates. Thanks!

You can get your ticket scanned at the DTD monorail station. It is next to Rainforest Café if I remember correctly. You get in line, they do a security bag check then you go up the stairs ( Or take the elevator) to the platform to wait for the monorail. We used this entry a few times when we were staying at the DLH and loved it. It can get crowded though depending on what time you want to go. A couple of times there was quite a crowd, so we opted to walk to the Main entrance. We enjoyed the walk through DTD. The music, the stores, the smell of yummy food from the food carts/ restaurants etc. and it only was about a 5-7 minute walk.
