Entered Webcast late - did they annouce opening?

Entered the webcast after it started but never heard anything other then summer 2014. Did they not announced a date? Thanks!!!

no. they won't announce the date until the area is almost totally complete in case they run into a construction issue. just summer 2014

i was hoping for a date too but i guess it was to be expected that they cannot commit to an exact date, easier to manage expectations that way.

We are due to go on 9th July (i had to bring our holiday forward by a month due to work commitments) - keeping everything crossed that it will have opened by then!!

I'd say they won't say a date yet partly because they of course want to be careful about construction delays, and partly because they don't want to completely kill second quarter stays and park attendance. As long as there is no firm date, people seem to be okay to book in June and "hope". But if they announced a date, a lot of those folks might postpone.

On the bright side, late May and early June might be the best times ever to see Hogsmeade without crowds... as many people will "wait" for the other half to open if they can.

We're going the first week of June, and I kind of selfishly hope it's not open by then. We're casual HP fans, at best, so I'll take lighter crowds.

If it's not open by then, though, I do feel bad for anyone going around that time, hoping to see it.

If I had to guess I'd say it will have it's grand opening around the same time as Hogsmede opened (June 21st) Something line that. Soft openings prior to that.

Opening Summer of 2014 is all they said.
That could be up to September 22 , and they would still be acurate !!!
I am optimistic it will be open for our trip in December .
