I'm not an expert on this, but I recently went into way more detail than needed while answering a question.
There are 3 sections, at least in my E Book that expired a few days ago, about hotels. And the Disney hotels are indeed listed there on one of the sections.
BUT with most hotels (HoJo Anaheim being the glorious exception), the EB discount is no better than other discounts out there.
AAA, just pre-booking with a hotel online, etc, will generally get you the same or better.
And the
Disneyland hotels have periodic special AP offers, like the AP8 rate talked about on a different thread. You would want to look hard at the numbers, and see if, say, 139 a night at Paradise Pier Hotel (if you're going during the AP8 days) would be a nice enough savings to make one person buying an AP worth it.
Other than HoJo Anaheim, I am quite sure that I could always find the same or a better rate (generally through just booking directly online with the hotel) in ways other than using the Entertainment Book.
