I am just curious...is two full days enough time to do one park each day and also take a 2-3 hour pool break in the afternoon (staying at HRH with FOTL)? i am thinking of an Oct timeframe and it looks like the parks are only open until 5 or 6pm during that month. I would have my daughter with me so we would skip any major rollercoasters...like the Hulk (or anything that turns us upside down).

Yes, just get to the park at openning and leave about 1 pm then return after early dinner for the rest of the park. We always do one park in the am then return to the other park in the pm.:thumbsup2

if she goes in october, the parks close early. she couldn't return after dinner then.

for the nights HHN will be open the studios close at 5 and ioa at 6pm.
on the nights HHN will be dark, the park still has early hours for closing. check the calendar to see. it could be open till 6 on the dark nights.

Right, so I figure we would have about 5 to 6 hours to do each park...is that enough time? Without killing ourselves?

I am thinking maybe it's unreasonable and we should plan on 3 park days with breaks.

i would aim for 3 days.

don't know the age of your child but some kids like repeat rides in seuss land

the shows do take a portion of your time.
you get in line in advance and wait till it opens.

then you wait until all are seated and the actors are ready to start.

sit in the show for 30-40 minutes and then the crowd to leave.

it cuts into ride time.

mystic fountain always amuses me. i usually kill up to an hour sitting and watching the interactions with kids and the fountain.
it is a don't miss thing at IOA

if you go on a day that HHN will be open, the crowds start happening around 3ish in the park. most are doing rides as they will concentrate on the houses when when opens.

with that in mind, 3 days would work fine.

you start when the park opens, do a lunch at city walk, return to the park around 1:30 and leave for a swim at the hotel around 3:30.

you will be able to see all, shop and dine without rushing then.

you might want to take in the dive in movie at the hotel pool if you are there when it tis scheduled.

Thanks I prefer not to rush and I know my DD8 and I like to linger, check stuff out, and shop. I was thinking an extra Universal day would cut into a WDW day, but we could always do an evening at WDW while staying at HRH.
