Year Round Swap - This swap is a chance to basically get an entire year's worth of work done at once.

Any certain colors, etc. - you want me to use.?

Mail Date: October 15
Due Date: October 22

1. Choose your Group

2. These kits will consist of 1 topper/title and 2 elements of your choice. See list for more details. Each item will need to be embellished a minimum of 2 different ways.

TOPPER - The size and orientation is up to you. Please do not make it over 8 inches. You may cut letters out to spell a title but make sure the letters are at least 1 1/4 inches and have a shadow matted behind each letter. If you choose to cut out a title, place letters in a separate baggie and let us know what they spell.

3. PM me with your DIS name, name, home address, email address, and phone numbers. Email and phone numbers will only be used to follow up if I have not heard from you.

4. Post your weekly status on the Progress thread - which will be posted after the slots are filled.
You must check in 2 weeks prior to the due date. If I have not heard from you by then I will send you a pm or an email.
I WILL ANGEL YOUR SPOT IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU WITHIN TWO DAYS OF THE PM OR EMAIL.

5. Check the progress thread for your status - it will be updated with ship info and received info.

6. Packing Instructions - use a Ziploc for each person and put everything for that person into their bag. Please label each bag with your name so we know who made each element. You‘ll have 5 bags to enclose in the larger (gallon size) Ziploc bag for each group you are in - be sure to include your name, your DIS name and your group number. Include your return postage, please. I am glad to pick up priority packages . If you want delivery confirmation, don't forget to send in the extra money for that as well as a completed d/c slip.

Please don’t send metered or click-it/ship-it postage – some hostesses have had issues with these.

7. PM me if you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.

8. There will be 5 people per group. The total groups will depend on enthusiasm.

Thanks for swapping

Believe it or not, I had all of the paper I needed for this swap - at home! Not that shocking, I know. But I was able to shop my stash as they say... Of course, that is negated by my attendance at Beadfest over the weekend. I got all sorts of embellishments for my pieces. Oh, well. At least I didn't have to get any paper, right??

So to paraphrase... I have my supplies and even my designs. I have to finish the tag book swap first, then I'm ready for this one! :)

:offtopic: I am SO JEALOUS you went to Bead Fest!!! I had to work :sad2:

Checking in. I won't be able to finish any of the swap pieces before I leave. My DH is sick. We went to the doctor today and she said that he should start feeling better tomorrow. I hope so cause we leave on Saturday. Not one thing packed and I have to work the rest of the week. Sorry for ranting.
Thanks for listening.

Susie -- for the topper

I plan to have two layers -- 2x8 and 1 3/4 x 7 3/4
On top of that I will have my cricut letters and embellishments. Do these letters need a shadow?

Embellish two ways -- is inking the edges one way?

If I have eyelets in the corners with fiber looped through across the length of the topper, is that 2 ways?

Thanks!

Yes, I am a little confused about the title too. I have Sizzix alphas with shadows, but they are only 5/8ths tall. I have Sizzix alphas that are 1 1/2" inches but they don't come with shadows. I don't have a cricut, and the idea of cutting out two sets of letters by hand from the computer...

So what were you thinking the other possibilities might be? Is printing directly on cardstock, or vellum okay? Or did you want people to have the option to fill in their own title, and not have any words at all?

What I was thinking was people could do the regular kind of topper or they could do a topper iwth more of a title to it or a third choice would be letters cut out with shadows that people could place on the page as they want to instead of confined to a 2 X 8 rectangle ---- does that make sense?

Printed titles or what not are fine. I was trying to give people more options.

Yes ink around the edges count.

fiber and eyeltes would be two

by the way the cardstock is by doodlebug and it is either candy crusted or sugar crusted - I can't remember the exact name.

I bought my paper for my New Years stuff today. I probably bought my paper for my Easter group too (Recollections had their clearance paper 4/$1 this weekend) but I am not sure if I am going to use it or not. It's not specifically Easter paper, but the colors would work, so I have to think about it first.

Hey, you know we all okay with a feels like the theme. I loved what you did for the Fourth of July that was thinking outside the box.

Feels like is great..... it doesn't have to be specifically Easter - crosses and bunnies and eggs, etc.

Hope you can come play with my Cricut:)

This confused me, so does that mean just cut out the letters and put them in a baggies, with a note saying what it is supposed to say? This is what I think it means but I want to see if I'm getting it right..

I'm thinking "WINTER" in 2 inch letters with shadow adhered and a snowflake with shadow and stickled, loose in the baggie, as an option for topper. Is this right?

I like that idea Ann! Then you can make the letters go which ever way you want!!

I think that's an example of what

third choice would be letters cut out with shadows that people could place on the page as they want to instead of confined to a 2 X 8 rectangle ---- does that make sense?

means.:goodvibes
