ENOUGH already!!!

Shadeaux! Long time no see!! :) :) :)

Flood waters all the way up to 10, huh? Yikes. We're hoping to go to Lake Charles on Sunday to pick up our new kitty, but that may not be possible. I'm hoping that if it hits Thurs/Fri things will be cleared off enough by Sunday that we can still get her.

MrsA -- I hope everything goes well for your parents, too!

My husband works at a chemical plant in Lake Charles and as of a few minutes ago when I talked to him, he said they won't decide until tomorrow afternoon whether or not they're shutting down. The school board is supposed to make a decision this afternoon about whether or not schools will be closing. I don't think my nerves can take too much more of this!

And we have another month of this season before we can relax. :(

Can we send something up into it to blast it into smaller storms that would disperse in different directions giving various areas rain and breeze? :teeth: I hope it doesn't get any stronger for you. Good luck from those of us on the east coast of FL!

I think it's 2 months. Isn't December 1 the cutoff? It is in SE FL.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could break these things up? Even better would be break them up and send the pieces where they're needed!

And I thought ours (TX) ended Nov 1? I may be wrong.

From the National Hurricane Center website:
HURRICANE SEASON OVERVIEW
The official hurricane season for the Atlantic Basin (the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico) is from 1 June to 30 November. As seen in the graph to the right, the peak of the season is from mid-August to late October. However, deadly hurricanes can occur anytime in the hurricane season.

On the projected path link where the "8" is is right where I live. Tammi I know what you are saying. We moved into the house on Saturday but still have tons of stuff outside waiting to be moved in and stored in the attic and also still have stuff at my moms to move out. We don't need all this rain not to even mention the possibility of tornados that hurricanes always bring...ugggh!
