End of Sept/1st Week of October - Is this a good time to cruise?

Can I expect good weather? Will the boat be filled to capacity? TIA

We have sailed 3X during late Sept. early Oct. Weather is great (except for the hurricain which diverted us one time.) We STILL had GREAT weather, just went to Eastern instead of Western.
The ship is almost always full, no matter the time of year, but don't worry about it

I must agree. That's a good time to cruise. The weather is still very warm. I also think there are a few (emphasis on few) less kids on board.

Each time we've sailed during this time it's been at least low 80's

This is my all time favorite time to cruise....we've done the very end of Sept. several times. The weather is warm, but not the ferocious heat you can get in mid summer. That makes it good for park trips too.

Since it is hurricane season, you have to realize that you need to be a little flexible. You might end up at ports that weren't on your schedule. However, the Disney people are great at arranging shore excursions and arranging for a great time. We went to Key West before there was a Western cruise...ditto the Cayman islands.

The ships is rarely full at this time of year, and frequently there are price reductions. If you book early, check the DCL site periodically. If they reduce the price on the cruise, you will get the better price IF you ask for it. If you don't ask, they're not going to offer.

We sailed a 4-night cruise in the middle/end of Sept last year and LOVED it! It only rained one night while at sea and the weather was perfect. It was still toasty and sunny enough to break a sweat and get an easy sunburn. I would suggest it!

We sail every September. The weather is hot, but usually nice. In 4 years, we have never missed Castaway Cay. This is also value season, so it costs a LOT less to sail during this time. Our twin DDs celebrate their birthdays in September, so we try to be on the ship every year for their birthday.
