I'm trying to decide between Nov 26-Dec 2 and Jan 28-Feb 3. I get the appeal of all the Christmas decorations but my sense is that the week in Nov will be a zoo. Any tips?

I would pick the November dates, we love the Christmas decorations and I believe the weather is a little better! I do not believe the crowds will be that bad after that first Sunday.

Thanks for the feedback. I initially picked Nov because of all the Christmas decorations, and because I couldn't wait for the 2018 military discounts to be published. (!) But when I compare the two time periods, there is so much more availability in January than in Nov, whether hotel or restaurant. Decisions, decisions!

We were debating between those time time periods as well and just chose November/December earlier this week. We did end of January 2015 and I wasn't the biggest fan. Little things like the crane blocking the view of the castle and more refurbishments made us stick to the November dates...plus we got some good direct flights on sale (I never dreamed we be able to fly direct). Plus I'm not into delayed gratification. We've already pushed this trip back and I'm ready to bet there!

I'd pick the end of November, hands down, but I love the Christmas decorations and the overall festive atmosphere...If you've never been during that time of year, I'd pick then.

We have traveled the November week and will again next month. I love the Christmas decorations. But if I could go last week of January, I would. (Can'take because of work).I have seen pictures from friends who went end of January and I believe crowds would be lower. November week has the MVMCP which limits full use of MK to guests.

The end of November will be a zoo, but January will have the tour groups so you have to choose your poison! We are going to December and completely lowering our expectations and hope to just enjoy the festive music and decorations. It's crowded for the holiday season, yet so beautiful and quite an experience.

I'm actually going during both of these weeks! Haha, for the reason of having lower crowds mostly. If I had to pick one or the other, it would be close, but I think I would go with January because I've seen the crowds are even lower then. I don't celebrate Christmas, but I like the additional EPCOT fireworks, but don't like that they are removing the Star Wars fireworks for Christmas fireworks during my trip. So that's a win/loss there. Neither time is one which you would want to get in the pool either unless there's a heat wave, that's a net neutral.

We're going almost those exact same dates in November in 2018! :) From what I have read, that week after Thanksgiving is actually fairly quiet.

January can be pretty cold but it would be perfectly fine too. I'd choose November just because it's sooner. ;)
