How bad will the heat and crowds be the last week of June/first week of July? Are there alot of attractions in the airconditioning? We will have FOTL, does that make it bearable? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to go then, or wait and go another cooler time. Thanks.

We are going at the end of june and have did july last year and it does get hot because of the humidity .
There are shows and some rides that are inside and air conditioned and FOTL makes it well worth it cause you won't have to stand in long lines and the heat and when we found it getting to hot we either took a break and went to late lunch or went back to the hotel until it cooled off a little later in the day :thumbsup2

We always go July, yes it is hot , but staying onsite means you do not have to spend all day in the parks, we usually do not head to the park till late afternoon or early evening. If we go in the morning which is rarely we would return lunchtime and spend the afternoon at the pool

On the studio side, there are more of the rides indoors than outdoors.

jimmy neutron, shrek, mib, simpsons, mummy, disaster, twister, T2, ET, Horror Make Up show are inside a building.

outside in the elements are Jaws, Animal Planet show, beetle juice review, fieval playground, blues brothers show.

there are more items but i'm out of brain power right now........

IOA has the coaster that are outdoors but with the line mostly indoors.
hulk, dueling dragons, dr doom.

in seussland, only cat in the hat is an indoor ride, the rest are outside

i just love the invention of air conditioning.........

Lucky! I wish I could just run back to the pool and jump in! Instead...I have to get in the car and drive all the way home and end up taking a cold shower.

But your a Lucky ducky cause you can go to the parks anytime ya want :worship:

Last year we went the last week in June because my DDs were dancing at WDW - suffice to say, we'll NEVER do it AGAIN at that time of the year!

It was hot, humid, wet and wet! My DH's favorite saying was "I can't wait to get dry when we get home". We still had a great time - it helps if you're staying onsite because of the Express Pass, the longest we ever had to wait was about 15 minutes for Spiderman when we first got there.

Have a great time!

Probably takes you 20 mins to drive to the parks and home again:thumbsup2 . Wish i had the convenience you have, instead , we leave the house at 4:am, drive to airport, get flight to London, then connection another 9hrs, and arrive in orlando about 4 pm , given the time difference we are travelling 17:headache: hrs, so i would happily give up the hotel for a quick trip up the road to the parks:woohoo: Plus the costs, i do not even want to count it up :sad1:
and you also have joy of the weather. You should try living here in Ireland we get lots of ---------RAIN then we get some ------ More RAIN, maybe see a ray of sunshine through the clouds , just to let us know its still there:laughing:

But, i suppose someone has to live in Florida, JUST WISH It WAS ME:sad2:

The only good thing about the heat and humidity is I winde up loosing wieght :scared1: :lmao: in some ways I guess thats good :rotfl:

FOTL = :cloud9: on a stick:thumbsup2

compared to the lines @ WDW, it's a cakewalk

appears as though u r considering the 4th of July weekend? While we've typically traveled the last 2 weeks of June into early July, we've never experienced the 4th @ U...going to try it @ WDW this year...only because my APs expire end of June:rolleyes:

it's been my experience that just when I think I am going to implode because it's so hot, we enter an attraction and cool off...

So while it is hot and sticky, take your time and drink a lot
