End of current year or the first of the new year

When the time frame approaches when many are wanting to sell their contracts, to avoid the taxes, does the last couple of months of a current year or a few months into the following year generally have more availability? Which time frame do you generally see a better uptick in selection?

I believe when MF are due then that stirs peoples interest in selling. So with them being due sometime between jan-feb, you probably see an uptick in listings starting in October or November, people hoping to get their contract transferred before dues are due. I am sure there is someone on this board who has actual statistics, but this is the trend that have heard many times in the past.
