"ENCHANTED TALES with ROB" - A Birthday/Christmas DISer Celebration! **NEW TR LINK**

We are FP+ing ETWB for the first time this trip. I love love love the regular queue, there are so many great details, but most of the time FP+ is more practical.

Lumiere is amazing! ETWB isn't a must-do for everyone, but as a major Belle fan it's one of my absolute favorite attractions.

The Brew :lovestruc

I really like the Enchanted tales show. I was picked once to be Mrs. wardrobe hehe

I'd love to be picked again, but feel like I loser to ask for a part... so I dont hehe

I hope they don't get rid of the move it shake it party. I love it.

:blush:First of all let's get that hot dog issue settled. I WAS wrong about mustard only dog but in my defense the mustard far outweighs the ketchup so it looks like mustard only. But to answer your question... YES, we can still be friends. Even if you eat your hot dog completely wrong! :rotfl2:

I can't see EtwB sign without seeing your trademark TR version of the image. I'm glad that I can be completely honest and say that after seeing that show a couple times I'm really in no hurry to return. It's a great photo op for Belle lovers especially if you are a character but after seeing the "show" several times I think I'm good. We can still be friends right?

That's so sweet that Riley posed with Belle AND you have a commemorative Belle bookmark to mark the occasion.

Uhhh that Mr. Incredible had some moves huh? Wow! That's enough to make me blush just reading that. But Genie... love the demonstration of adoration from that guy for Riley. I do believe I see more Genie in your future.....;)

:thumbsup2 for Le Fou's Brew! I wish I had one now, but a Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee will have to make a (poor) substitute for now...

Glad you enjoyed Enchanted Tales with Belle. I did not get the chance to see it when I was there in December. I spent time all around the New Fantasyland area, but even though it wasn't that crowded, my priorities were to head over to the Haunted Mansion, and ride some other rides, rather than to spend that much time on a show. As a general rule, I tend to not "do" shows at Magic Kingdom, with the exception of the Country Bear Jamboree.

I'm catching up again! :)

I love the fact that you didn't take any photos during Celebrate the Magic or Wishes. I can tell like me that you are a big photo taker so I know it's hard to do that sometimes, but occasionally just experiencing that moment is the best thing of all.

We noticed as well that we've been getting a lot more wet on Pirates than we used to! I heard somewhere that they recently re-did the boats and now they're more front heavy and that's why. Don't know if there's truth to that but I wouldn't be surprised.

Looks like you had a blast with Carrie and Riley! It's so special when you share a bond like that with a kid (or preteen). Santa Duffy is too cute, I think my Duffy needs a Santa outfit. And the gifts that they gave you have seriously melted my heart. That pin is just incredible - what a special, special gift. I know you will treasure it :)

And oh, there's another pin! I love the no Dancing One, and it's super thoughtful for you based on your t-shirt! It's so sweet that you're sending things back and forth. I think I've mentioned to you that I'm in a facebook group of Disney Brides, a lot of which have become really good friends of mine. We recently started doing a "Pixie Dust Pals" exchange, where each person is secretly assigned another person. And you send them small gifts throughout the year before revealing who you are at Christmas. It's such a fun idea, and picking out Disney gifts for others is the best!

How exciting about your trip to Niagara Falls! I hope you share a little something about that when it happens too. I've always wanted to go there. How far is Canada's Wonderland? Looks like a neat park. Of course it's no Disney, but DH and I love amusement parks of all types!

Okay... I'm a little ashamed, but I did not know there were hidden Pascals in that area! I can't wait til next time I visit so I can try to find some!

I love Enchanted Tales with Belle! I had been looking forward to it since BatB is my favorite, and I was picked to be Mrs. Potts my first time so it was awesome ;) And the kids are too cute - the beast is usually awesome. The one time we had a kid that was right at the age thinking girls were gross, so he absolutely did not want to hold Belle's hands and dance with her. It was funny. Then his parents convinced him to do the photo with her, and he snuck him a kiss on the cheek - he was just horrified lol!

Oh my, Mr. Incredible sounds quite inappropriate! Where's the Mrs. to keep him in check?

So glad that Riley was able to get in on the PP fun while visiting Belle. That attraction is definitely not a must do for me, but if I ever have grandkids I will be right back there. I agree - the concept is fun and the animatronics are awesome.

So look at your bad self in Gaston's chair. That chair is huge. :rotfl:

Suggestive moves from the characters in the Move it, Shake it parade. You mean someone was moving it a little too much. :rotfl2: That's funny. The parade looks really cool at twilight.

Another fun update!

Great updates Rob. I'm always following along. Your time with Riley seems awesome. I'm hoping to go with my best friend and her girls, seven and thirteen. I think it will be great seeing it through their eyes.

I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read "animatronically correct" or my keyboard would have been ruined! I actually LOL but luckily no one was walking by my office at the time. Of course I'm usually singing Disney songs all day so LOL probably wouldn't make anyone turn their head in my direction. :rotfl:

I feel the same way about ETWB as you did. Cute show, glad I saw I, but unless there is no line I really have no desire to go back. I've seen it twice now and that's plenty for me. I am slightly jealous that you got one of the bookmarks. The times I saw it, only the participants got one of those.

Awesome that Genie paid so much attention to Riley! It's great to see characters interact with older kids and adults. I've found that the Mad Hatter in that parade can be interesting at times. One time I saw him interacting with some teenage girls and was a little more like Mr. Incredible than like the Genie. :scared1:

Can't wait to read more about the Christmas party since I'm going this December for the first time!

I'm glad you enjoyed Enchanted Tales with Belle!

Great pic of the 3 of you watching Move It Shake It! I'm sure yoou could've done without Mr. Incredible's moves though :rotfl:

AWESOME pic of you at Gaston's Tavern! I really regret not taking the same pic when I was there in October and it was empty! Perhaps I will redeem myself this year haha

Enchanted Tales certainly is very impressive in a lot of ways.

I know what you mean though, not really a must do if you don't have kids who want to be a part of it.

I just hopped in the line for a picture in October. I didn't even ask. I saw others doing it and I just went for it. Oops.

Aww yay for Genie being a sweetie.

Gaston's chair? Impressive that you managed to find it empty. It's always occupied.

Gah, that MIRROR...HOW DO THEY DO IT?!? I desperately want to know but can't for the life of me figure it out. Pure Disney magic happening right there. Lumiere is so amazing too! I wasn't sure what to expect when we did ETwB for the first time last year, but I left SO impressed!

Aww it seems like Enchanted Tales with Belle was a fun time! I'm looking forward to trying this out in a few months. I have a question though ~ Do you think we should aim to do this right at park opening or get a FP+? I know the wait gets super long.

Parade watching is always a good time! So cute that the genie was making heart hands :)

Mmm Lefou's Brew! Yum!

Ewwww, Blackberry. :rotfl2: I feel for you there buddy, I really do.

Such great CM interactions you have, I'm telling you! Unfortunately, Disney is not alone with how they underpay people. It's all over the place. The larger the companies get, the more they do it.

It's always your ride mates fault. :lmao:

Big Al is the best. Hands down.

Awww, how sweet of Riley! She does get you man. She totally gets you.

Tangled tinkle spot. Gotta remember that.

I love the animatronics at ETwB. They're so fluid! I just love all of the advancements they make with it.

Foo's Boo!!!!!

I really want to see ETWB. It looks so cool and everyone raves about the mirror and animatronics. I will have to go see them some day!
Cute pics of Riley with Belle!
Oh dear. Mr Incredible, you are a married man and a father of three and THIS IS NOT A RAVE. there's no place for moves like that on Main St! :rotfl:
Great pic in Gaston's chair!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Loved reading about your experiences at ETwB. Nice pictures, especially the one with Lumiere and Belle.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Animatronically Correct :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

:worship::worship::worship:

Just like the prince in the stained glass window at Be Our Guest.

:scared1:

That is awesome that Riley had her picture taken with Belle. And that Genie was crushing on her. Things like that are such special memories.

ROBBBB! I did Enchanted on Saturday and it was just great.. Just the details, the theming, everything. Lawson got picked to be Maurice and Landen and I were the wardrobe.. (He wouldnt go up without me.. LOL...) But, I do agree with you in that, it may not be a must do...

And I have to give you credit in regard to how you told me to go to LM first and then Enchanted and we should be fine... We ended up doing LM back to back and then did ETWB and were done by 10:00. :) June crowds weren't bad at all, just rained alot!!

I hope to start on a new TR- as soon as I get all my pics together.. Came home to a mess, I'll explain in the TR. I should have just stayed at Disney.. LOL

Animatronically correct! :lmao: What a great term!! I bet some big wig at Disney is going to start using that soon!

I felt the same way about EtWB. Glad to have witnessed it, but not a must-do. If I had a young kid with me though, I am sure I would feel different. I hope to have my niece and nephew come with me in May of next year and I will definitely take them to EtWB!

Haha, it just seemed like an appropriate term Elena. Ooooh, I would LOVE it to become an Imagineer term.

Yeah, agreed. It is cute, but I think it really shines as something for a kid. Not that adults can't enjoy it and get involved, but I really think this was designed with kids in mind, and certainly, that is ok. You will love having them along I think. It really does enhance certain aspects of the fun.

We are FP+ing ETWB for the first time this trip. I love love love the regular queue, there are so many great details, but most of the time FP+ is more practical.

The Brew :lovestruc

Good to know Courtney. I know you bypass the cottage portion in the queue, and I am sad to have missed that. But, it was pretty nice to walk right in too.

OMG I was mesmerized. Honestly. I'm sure I will see it again, but I am very happy I have seen it now.

I know. Heaven in a glass.

I really like the Enchanted tales show. I was picked once to be Mrs. wardrobe hehe

I'd love to be picked again, but feel like I loser to ask for a part... so I dont hehe

I hope they don't get rid of the move it shake it party. I love it.

I really did too. I think it would be quite fun to be in it now that I've seen the show.

Oh I think you should. I think that would make it much more memorable.

I would throw a fit. A huge fit. This will not happen on my watch!!!!

:blush:First of all let's get that hot dog issue settled. I WAS wrong about mustard only dog but in my defense the mustard far outweighs the ketchup so it looks like mustard only. But to answer your question... YES, we can still be friends. Even if you eat your hot dog completely wrong! :rotfl2:

:lmao: This whole thing just put me into giggle fits. The mustard absolutely and vastly outweighed the ketchup. But thank goodness you won't hold it against me. I was worried. :worried: I'll try to get my hot dog eating in line.

Aww, that made me smile. I'll have to see if I can covertly change the sign next time I'm there. I'm in complete agreement on the attraction. I liked it, I'm glad I saw it, it was cute, the effects are amazing, but now I'm not needing to rush back. Friends for life!!

I was glad she was asked to get a photo. She wanted one, but didn't want to be in the show, so it all worked out. Plus, I love souvenirs like that.

Oh my lord Brenda. We're talking Chippendales (and not Chip n Dale). It was seriously risque. it was funny yet shocking at the same time. Genie, however, was superb. He really went out of his way to make Ry feel special, and I am so appreciative to him for that. Hmmm... yes... I do believe there will be more Genie coming up... you must have ESP, lol ;)

:thumbsup2 for Le Fou's Brew! I wish I had one now, but a Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee will have to make a (poor) substitute for now...

First things first as I think this is your first post here... WELCOME, and thank you for following along!!!

LeFou's Brew is my go to snack/drink now. So good.

I did enjoy it and I'm glad I've seen it. But now I can move on, lol. I probably focus a bit more on shows maybe than you do, especially if you consider Move It Shake It a show. Country Bears obviously is a must do for me.

I'm catching up again! :)

Oh my, Mr. Incredible sounds quite inappropriate! Where's the Mrs. to keep him in check?

Good to see you Becky!!! :)

You know, that is so true. I've always been a photo taker, but since I started doing Trip Reports, I feel like I need to take certain photos. But at that time, in that place, given my huge fail on my birthday, I just needed that moment.

Yup, that's exactly what I've heard also. At the time though, I had no idea. And I've been riding Pirates my whole life. So the splash just completely took me by surprise.

Oh my goodness Becky, it was simply... magical. They really brought a new element to Disney for me. And the fact that I was able to connect with Riley at all, let alone so quickly, really did surprise me. Santa Duffy has to be my favourite version. So Precious. And you're right, I will always treasure that pin. It really kind of symbolizes the trip for me.

Now that pin was a real surprise. Of course I love it. And I do enjoy all the gift exchanges. I love that you have that group, especially where it's Disney related. There's something extra special about having a connection based around Disney I think.

I am so looking forward to this trip. Just one month to go. I will absolutely post a mini report for sure. Canada's Wonderland is I think about an hour and a half from Niagara. I've always wanted to go there, but just never made it. I'm certainly not expecting Disney level, but it does look like fun just the same.

Haha, don't be. I only knew because of other TR's. Although I'm pretty sure there is a sign around there somewhere. It's fun, but really tough.

For those that are huge BatB fans, I can absolutely see the appeal for this. I genuinely liked it too. Maybe next time I'll try to be in the show. Bahaha, that would have been so awesome. It's so funny too because in a few years that kid will be begging for a kiss from Belle.

Seriously, it was... strange. I'm guessing since he was out on his own without the wife, he decided to let loose. But really... it was weird.

So glad that Riley was able to get in on the PP fun while visiting Belle. That attraction is definitely not a must do for me, but if I ever have grandkids I will be right back there. I agree - the concept is fun and the animatronics are awesome.

Another fun update!

It was so nice of the CMs to offer. And she was obviously delighted. Yeah, I'm super glad I saw it, and was thoroughly impressed as well. But there will have to be kids involved for me to go back I think.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty stoked to finally see that chair unoccupied.

Oh my yes. As I said to Brenda, it looked like a Chippendales audition. No lie. The parade was pretty neat at that time of day. A little tougher for photos, but I still love it.

Aw thank you Mary Ellen. Stay tuned, because I have a CM story coming up for the ages.

Great updates Rob. I'm always following along. Your time with Riley seems awesome. I'm hoping to go with my best friend and her girls, seven and thirteen. I think it will be great seeing it through their eyes.

Thank you SO VERY MUCH. I so appreciate that. Riley completely changed my idea of Disney and I just had so much fun with her and seeing her enjoyment. You will absolutely love that experience I think.

:rotfl:

Can't wait to read more about the Christmas party since I'm going this December for the first time!

Hahahaha, that's awesome Arianna!!!!! Not that your equipment would be ruined of course, but that the statement got the desired reaction. I want Disney Imagineering to adopt this term.

Yup, all of the above. Cute, amazing technology, but I'm good now. Your bookmark comment surprises me though. I was hesitent to even include it because I couldn't remember if it was actually special that I got it or if it was meant just for the performers. Now I do feel special.

I agree, it was so wonderful and she was just beaming. I was so appreciative that he did that, and he really did spend a lot of time interacting with her.
Mr. Incredible was a little shocking. I was genuinely surprised at some of his moves. I'm way far from a prude, but there is a time and place, and this was neither.

This was the final update before the party, so that is starting next!!

I really did Alexis. And now that I've seen it, I can move on, lol.

Aww thanks. I am so awful at selfie photos. And OMG, Mr. Incredible was Mr. Incredibly Scandalous.

Thank you!!! That chair was ALWAYS taken. Always. So to have it empty PLUS have someone to actually take the photo, well, it was meant to be.

I agree Amber. I knew there was a reason I really wanted to see it, and it did live up to expectations.

And that's it exactly. I think if you have kids or you actually want to be in the show yourself, it's not on my must do list.

Hey, the worst they can say is no. I'm not sure if the performer thing is a rule or not, so why not?

He was so great. I really appreciated the effort he put in, and Riley really loved it.

RIGHT!!?? Never empty. I think maybe because it was getting closer to party time, people were exiting, because it wasn't crowded there at all.
