"ENCHANTED TALES with ROB" - A Birthday/Christmas DISer Celebration! **NEW TR LINK**

So excited to have found your latest Trip Report!! (and not too long after it started either!)

I look forward to reading about your trip, and am glad to see your Birthday in Disney started off so well!

On my upcoming trip I am celebrating my 30th birthday, even though it's not officially until July.

I also love your shirts! They are so clever! :)

And I'm so excited you did as well. So happy to welcome you back!!

It is/was definitely off to a pretty good start. I'll tell ya, celebrating a birthday in Disney is beyond awesome!

Aww thank you!!!

Such well-mannered ducks, waiting patiently in line. Get them some MagicBands and they'd be in business.

YEAHHHHHH COWBOY SEQUENCE!!! So glad you finally got it.

Good theories on the blue. My guess is that it has to do with Donald, the crankiest character who wears blue and would not be happy if his MB was denied.

A TOT marriage proposal?! That is AWESOME. I've seen a picture of a Splash Mountain proposal (which would be one of my dream proposals) but TOT is super cool too.

RNRC pic...you're either blowing a kiss to Stacey, or TOT followed by RNRC made you feel not-so-good. I'm going with the former.

:furious: how I feel about besmirching poor Stacey.

Totally. Yet another thing we could learn from ducks.

OMG it was insanely exciting. I've only ever had it once before (which is why I knew it existed). Law of averages would suggest I would get it again, but it just never happened... until now.

Oooh that's a pretty good explanation as well.

I think so too. Plus it guarantees a photo of the beautiful moment.

Haha, nope I felt fine.

RIGHT??!!! It was just so wrong!!

Yay for a great day at Dhs, you really did accomplish alot!

Bahahaha at the avatar comment, legit laughed out loud at that!

I keep meaning to take a picture with Bo! Next time then!!

Awe man, as if people don't know about Stacey!?!?

Not bad actually for the fairly limited time I was there. I was certainly satisfied.

YAY, glad you enjoyed that. It's coming whether we like it or not.

I think this was the first time I ever took a picture of him. I figured it was appropriate for this trip.

It was mind-boggling. Like, how is it even possible?

Never gonna look at Sofia The First the same way! Maybe she would be better placed in the MNSSHP parade, following the horseman.

Bahahaha!!! From the very first time I saw her I was frightened. And think of it this way Elena... I may have saved your soul. It would make a wicked MNSSHP costume too.

We're sitting in our room watching Stacey, She's looking great as always.

AHHHHH LUCKY!!!!!!

I haven't been on the DIS in like, a week, so I'm really behind!

Yay for your first DIS meet! You're right, you will always remember your first one! And I did the same thing as you, I saw someone I recognized at a Halloween Party in 2011 (PirateKate, if you remember her) and I was too scared to say anything to her! But then I ran into another DIS'er the next year, so I'll always remember that! :thumbsup2

Um...I have never watched the Walt movie in One Man's Dream. I'm ashamed of myself, I swear, the next time I'm in WDW I'll have to see it. Especially after watching Saving Mr. Banks, I need to know more about Walt! :cool1:

OMG BABY DISNEY DUCKS!!!! :dance3::yay::cool1: There is nothing cuter than a baby duck, especially a Disney duck! I'm obsessed, I spend far too much time on my trips staring at Disney ducklings!

CM's don't know who Stacey is??? :sad2: That's so strange, I would figure if you're a CM, you are a Disney fan, which means you should have stayed there at least once...maybe not, I don't know! At least you found someone who knew who she was, although, I'm not a big fan of turning her quotes into "adult" sayings! :rotfl2:

I noticed that. But nah, you can't be that far behind.

It was awesome!!!! It still blows my mind honestly. And WOW, you had a very similar experience (even though they were different people). It just makes Disney trips that much more fun.

OMG Jen... YOU NEED TO!!!! It is unreal how good it is. I'm hoping to see Saving Mr. Banks really soon too.

The whole event was just beyond precious. BEYOND!!! I could have followed them around all day.

Seriously, like how is that even possible??? I'd be ok if it was just one or two, but the volume without that knowledge was staggering. However... they REALLY astounded me on the next day. Stay tuned.
And yeah, not a fan of the "adult" context AT ALL!!!

I hate when people talk throughout shows. I don't mind a whispered comment here and there.

Last year we went for Christmas and at the candelight processional a kid in front of us turned around and talked to us the entire time. I was sad his parents weren't taking care of him but is it my job?

Exactly. I'm ok with a little comment here and there, but constant talking is just plain rude.

See, those parents need to follow the ducks!!!

Yay for the great movie ride! It's in MAJOR need of some love but it's one of my faves. You just can't deny it. (Even though my husband would like to.) I'm very glad you got the cowboy scene! I don't know how the gangster scene is so much more common...

I love your ride photos! Best birthday ever indeed! Although that poor little girl & her brother in the front there. It looks like he's trying to meditate the horror that is ToT away.

Do not disrespect Stacey people! She is a disney girl who knows all & we must be respectful at all times! Come on now.

I like it too, but it's becoming less of a must do for me every trip. Unless I'm with a newbee, then it's back on the list. The whole cowboy/gangster thing is just luck of the draw in which "car" you're in. If you're in the front one you get cowboy, back one gets gangster.

Aww thanks Jennifer. Wow, you're right, it does look like that. What a good brother.

Yeah, it was just so not cool.

That must have been a total oops to get the Cowboy scene. That never happens.

Gertie has smoke coming out of her nostrils??? I declare! I didn't know that. I need more powers of observation. Obviously. :rolleyes1

I would hope that between being in WDW, having Stacey near to your heart and being on ToT that truly is a formula to = Best Birthday Ever!! :thumbsup2 At least the photo CMs could appreciate the sentiment.

Ahhh Wishes O Clock... I know where you'll be in a few hours. :)

I tend to look at is as Birthday Pixie Dust Brenda!!

I think your observation skills are quite fine as the smoke doesn't happen constantly. I just got lucky.

Oh my yes. Even just one of those things could make a case for Best Birthday Ever. Put 'em all together and it's just a no brainer. The CM's were so sweet, I have to say.

Ahh yes, I'm sure there was no doubt. BUT... it may not be all wine and roses. :rolleyes1

Yeah - you got the Cowboy scene! Maybe the curse has been broken! .... Or evil Sophia stole the soul of the Gangster.

I just love how you take an interraction with ducks and your takeaway is a lesson for humanity - just appreciate your insightful eye

And no, just no, don't besmearch Stacey

Regardless of how it happened, I'm just glad it did. Made for a lovely Birthday present.

Aww gee Phil... THANK YOU!! It really was a beautiful moment to witness.

No!! Just NO!!!!

You have your own Stacy T-shirt. I am impressed. I am sure she would appreciate being called an unofficial princess! My brother actually developed quite a crush on her last summer when his family went with us.

8 rides in a row on EE. :thumbsup2 Darn - that's pretty impressive. Love the ride photos. I was just editing my front row ride photos this evening and it looks like we have quite a few of the same ones.

Love your pictures of Pop waking up in the morning. :thumbsup2

Oh my YES. It was necessary to make a shirt since I have that signed photo. For my birthday it just fit.

Aww thanks. I just LOVE Everest (well, obviously).

Isn't it beautiful??? For a value resort, the scenery is just lovely especially near the lake. I love that place.

Cute duckies! I love the wildlife in WDW! Cowboy scene? Lucky! I just got it for the first time last trip and only because I asked. My guess is that it takes a while to reset after the fire so they do that one a lot less.
Hmmm not cool that the FP+ wasn't working for you. I never saw the dreaded blue light, we had such good luck! Hoping it gets better for you! Love that TOT ride photo, especially awesome that the cms deemed it their second favourite and gave you a print! Hmmm yeah giving Stacey and her "must dos" a whole new meaning is not cool guys, not in WDW. Wishes O'clock! I can't wait! Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

They were adorable Wendy. And YES, birthday magic kicking in there.
Yeah, spoiler alert, FP+ never worked for me AT ALL. Obviously a glitch that I just couldn't be bothered fixing as I could usually sweet talk my way in anyway. It didn't really cause me too much grief, but did provide some entertainment (foreshadowing).
I thought it was so kind of them to print me a copy (even though it did mean I'd have to carry it).
It was just so wrong about my Stacey!!!! Just WRONG!!!!
Wishes O'Clock was rapidly approaching... I sure hope nothing goes wrong.

What a great afternoon at DHS!!

I have seen Osbourne lights in various stages-going up, lit, coming down. Trying to remember if I've ever seen DHS without "stuff" all over the buildings. :rotfl2:

Loved your RNRC photo! But I was caught between thinking you were posed to blow a kiss or holding back from throwing up. ;)

CMs not knowing who Stacy is? :confused3 She's only on the TVs all day every day. I suppose there are CMs who go to work there just to have a job, not for their love of Disney. :scared:

Looking forward to your evening in the MK!

It was great. A nice way to spend the afternoon.

Haha, most people don't even go back there when there's no lights. Just such a dead zone most of the time.

Haha you're the second one to say that. It was actually supposed to be a fake "gasp". I guess I'll have to work on it.

It was just so strange, mostly because of the vast amount that had no clue. To your point, I think there are A LOT of CM's that are "This is just a Job" types. This will be proven in a big way the next day.

Great update Rob! You had me giggling thru the entire thing :lmao:

Being the engineering dork that I am I think the Osborne lights are cool not lit up. You can see how they were all put together, very neat!

You had me worried there for a second the little ducks weren't going to come back, I'm glad they made it thought and you are right no one is exempt from queue lines at Disney!

SO HAPPY YOU FINALLY GOT THE COWBOY SCENE! :cool1: And on your Birthday! Perfect!
I must be special because Cowboy scene privileges is all I have :lmao:
I really think that once you get the Cowboy scene once you get it for the rest of your life, you just wait and see.

SO many CMs while I was there wondered why the light turns blue not red. I like your explanations, too funny!

I LOVE the TOT ride pic! I love the signs, what a great idea.
I also love the family in the front row, the little boy looks like he's praying or something, too cute.

The RNRC pic is too funny too. That little boy! Poor kid, but now I understand why Hanes is the ride sponsor.

I thought the same thing when I saw Sofia the first. In addition to her big head and creepy eyes, the way she was swaying around when I saw her was SUPER weird.

I can't wait to hear about the rest of your B-day!

AWW THANK YOU Jess!!!!!

Oh I think it's neat as well and REAL impressive. Just not quite as "pretty". :)

Oh goodness, I would never include a story like that without a happy ending. It was just so precious to watch even though they still had to queue.

OMG it really was a Birthday present for sure!!!

Yes, you have been doing something right.
Oh God, that'll be my luck and I'll never see the Gangster again ever.

Interesting. My real opinion is I think Disney stayed away from red because it's viewed as negative. But that's just not as funny.

I wish I had made more signs for the trip for different days, but this one was necessary. I'm so glad I got to use it a fair amount.
I know, it's like he's praying for his sister's survival. Very cute. Clearly he saw the ducks earlier.

Haha, yeah, that kid did not look impressed at all.

Oh God I am so glad you said that because I thought I was just being weird. So happy I'm not alone in my extreme fear of that soul stealing voodoo kid.

I swear, this update had me laughing out loud. My poor husband had to listen as I read most of it to him, because I just had to share the humor. :thumbsup2

I can't believe more people didn't recognize Stacey...:confused3 I would think a good chunk of Cast Members are at least familiar with the name...

People who talk during shows are one of my pet peeves. Especially when it's a live show. But, what can you do...the joys of being around other guests in WDW.:rotfl2:

Oh my goodness THANK YOU!!! The weird thing is I wasn't a big fan of this update because it was all just a bunch of random stuff. So I really appreciate that all the more.

I would have thought so too. I even started questioning random CM's throughout the trip because of that. And still, the majority had no clue.

Yeah me too. WDW has made me realize I have a LOT of pet peaves, lol. It is just one of those things we all have to deal with and I generally can. I could tell the woman next to me was starting to boil though.

I love the great movie ride! After seeing the two scenarios I have to say I'm more of a gangster than a cowgirl.

Haha, gangster is definitely the cooler of the two in my opinion.

Aww those ducks are so cute!

How awesome that you got the cowboy scene!

Great ToT photo, and nice that you got the print too!

Sofia certainly does have a large head!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your birthday!!

They were SO CUTE!!

Birthday Magic on display right there for sure.

It was so nice of them to do that. The print itself didn't matter at all, but the fact that they did something so nice was awesome.

Oh God it's massive!! I realize all the characters have big heads, but for some reason's hers just stuck out to me.

Okay, the ducks in the queue...I might have died from the cuteness had I actually witnessed such a thing! Disney ducks are the best.

Yay for the Cowboy sequence! I hope your cowboy was better than ours, though. I was so excited the first time I got it, and then she was a total dud. We have gotten the gangster ever since.

How awesome about the ride photo. :goodvibes That was so nice of them to give you a physical copy too, and to say it was their second favorite ride. Whatever guy proposed to his girl on ToT... :worship::worship:

I apologize profusely, but this made me :rotfl2::rotfl2: More your response than what she said, though!! I can just about imagine the look of disgust on your face after that conversation.

Haha, so funny to me how many people here enjoyed the ducks. They sure were cute.

Wow, I had the cowboy the very first time I rode too, and also had Gangster ever since. He wasn't anything special this time that I recall, but I was so so excited it really didn't matter.

It was so kind and just one of those things that makes Disney... DISNEY! I agree, proposing on that ride is wicked awesome. Oh, and I forgot to mention... she said yes.

It was such a weird moment. Like, lady are you really going there? I mean I would never ever hit a woman... but I will pay someone else to do it.

Aww, your first DISmeet story was so sweet! YAY!

Also, I am a nutritionist, and you should know that I totally approve of that cinnamon bun breakfast on your BIRTHDAY at DISNEY.

Great updates all around! DD is obsessed with Sofia the First -- she LOVED meeting her, but I wish she was a real person...the giant head is a little weird ;)

Thanks Julie, it was really such a coincidence that it worked out the way it did.

Haha, Thank you!! Good to have a nutritionist's approval because I "may" have had similar breakfasts throughout. But the logic still applies as I considered the whole trip my birthday.

I know she's really popular but I just can't get past that head and expression. I guess it would be tough to cast as a real person since she is suppposed to be a kid. You may want to keep an exorcist on speed dial just to be safe though.

Hi Rob! First time commenting - loving your TR so far!

As a former GMR CM, all I can say is that you must have been there on a fairly busy day! They only do the cowboy scene on busier days when more vehicles are necessary. If you ever see two vehicles waiting for you on the "loading dock," the first one will be the cowboy scene! If there's just one vehicle waiting, you're always going to get the gangster scene!

Looking forward to more updates! :yay:

Thank you SO MUCH!!! So very pleased to welcome you.

First of all HOW AWESOME THAT YOU ARE A FORMER CM!!! And thank you for this info. I did know about the front car Cowboy and back car Gangster, but I guess I never paid enough attention that there are times with only one car. That makes perfect sense as to why the Cowboy is so much rarer.

Of course I chalk the whole thing up to it being my birthday!

Yo. :wave2: Someday I'll get caught up! :)

AHH Glenn so glad you're here!! Honestly, it looks worse than it is. :) But feel free to get caught up at your leisure, I'll wait...

ARE YOU CAUGHT UP YET????

I've never really paid attention to the Osbourne Lights during the day, but they are one of my favorite things about the holidays at Disney World for sure!

Aww I love the little sweet duck family! It sounds like a human family with kids running off and the mama yelling for them to "get back over here right now!" Sounds like MY FAMILY! :rotfl:

Yay for getting the cowboy scene! I believe that I've had that scene... one time before? The gangster one is definitely more popular around these parts.

Awesome ToT ride photo!

So cool someone finally noticed your Stacey shirt! :thumbsup2

haha, it certainly wasn't on my list of must dos to see the lights setup, but it is pretty interesting to see them all off. But at night, yeah, that's a HUGE must do.

Aww that little duck family is sure getting a lot of love. That is what it looked like. Just a normal fam on a trip to Disney.

THANK YOU!! I've only had it once before like 7 years ago. I'd started to give up hope.

Aww Thanks. That WAS a must do.

SO COOL, but I sure didn't like where she took the conversation.

Ahhhh, you got the cowboy scene?! And this, right on the heel's of Katt getting the cowboy scene! Sooooo jealous of you two!

Awww, the ducks are so cute and I laughd out loud on your comment about them having to queue up as well! ;)

What?! I find it troubling... Nay, appalling that so few people commented on your shirt! What the heck?!?! Good thing we have fellow Disers we can count on to have it together!

Do you see how Disney works? Katt gets the Cowboy scene in September, I meet Katt, then I get the Cowboy scene. Pixie Dust pass-along.

They were so adorable, I just wanted to watch them all day. But yup, ducks must queue as well, Disney is just SO strict!

To be fair, many could have recognized her and just not said anything. But the CM's who legit didn't know who she was, well, I think some additional training is in order.

Those ducks are adorable. I once watched a family of ducks (smaller than that) try to get in and out of the quiet pool at the Boardwalk. The last little duck could not get out and it really sent the mom into a tizzy. It was so heartwarming to watch.

What? CM's don't know about Stacy? :confused3 There is something fundamentally wrong with that? :rotfl2:

I love your Birthday Sign on ToT! You did deserve a hard copy photograph for that! :thumbsup2

They are just so amazing to watch. Most animals and their young fascinate and touch me. It really is heartwarming.

Honestly, it may be time for a CM purge. Haha, kidding, I love CM's, but they really need to get with it!

Aww thanks. I had that planned before I left home and it was so sweet of the CM's there to print me a copy.

Hey congrats on the Cowboy scene. I have only seen it once.
There is that sign again on TOT. Very easy to pick you out. LOL
WHAT? No sign on RNRR? LOL
You saw a lot more of the park than I did.
Great update and pics.

Haha, Thank you. It seems to be a common attribute of all DISers to never get the Cowboy.

Hehe, that was the plan. I'm sure it'll show up again.

I thought about it, I really did, but it was just too hard to hold. But I really did consider it.

Wow, really? It didn't feel like I did that much at all. But I did do everything I wanted, so I'll call it a win.

Thank you Scott!

The daytime Osborne is not as magical as it is at night, but I still loved seeing the pictures. I'm not sure I have seen that basketball hoop before. That must have looked great at night.

Your duck pictures and story were adorable!

YOU GOT THE COWBOY!!!

:banana::banana::banana:

We had that scene exactly once. Loved it!

Like Brenda, I didn't know Gertie smokes. Perhaps another explanation for the extinction of the dinosaurs?

ToT ride photos are the BEST and yours is certainly one of the best of the best. That is awesome (and totally deserved) that she gave you a freebie.

I LOL'ed over the adult Stacey comments. Sorry. You don't even want to know about what I am thinking for Summit Plummet.

:sad2:

Thanks Dee. It's kind of interesting to see the setup unlit. The hoop was new to me too.

Aww thanks. I had no idea the ducks would be so popular.

I DID!!!! Birthday magic! This only my second time ever.

Haha, good point. I'd seen it before, so I was pretty happy to be able to capture it.

Aww gee Thanks. I honestly didn't think it was that big of a deal, but it was so nice of the CM's to do that.

:headache: There are just too many catchphrases to use I don't even want to think about it, lol.

I tried the Great Movie Ride for the first time last October so I'm still pretty green to the attraction and am just starting to learn about the cowboy sequence. I didn't see it the last time. Or maybe I was too distracted by the gangster that was driving our trams as I was sitting right next to her and she was chatting things up. :rotfl:

I'm sort of curious what criteria Disney uses when deciding when to mask human characters vs. having face characters. So far it appears that all of Disney Jr. characters are masked (Jake, Doc, Einsteins, Sofia) which sort of makes sense because the characters are all very young kids in the show and I think our kids might be equally freaked out by a Jake played by a 20 year old man. But then again Peter Pan never grew up yet is played by a grown man. Sooooo confused. The only other example of masked human characters I can think of are Russell and Carl from Up. Oh, and Hook and Smee. Maybe there's no rhyme or reason. :rotfl:

A lot of people LOVE this ride. I, for one, am getting a little tired of it, thus my skipping it in April. That said, my main goal for riding this time was to get the Cowboy scene. Even with the "Gangster" taking over, you'll still go though the western scene though, but I can see missing it if the gangster is chatty. Honestly, they both have the same premise, but the Cowboy is so rare it's become somewhat of an urban legend.

Yeah, I think that's it exactly. As much as Sofia scares me, having a 20-30 year old woman would be WAY weirder and you certainly couldn't cast children. Honestly, I think it's the expression that unsettles me. The other Jr. characters seem fine to me. But having seen Hook and Smee in Dream Along, I think they made a good choice having masks for the Meet and Greet.

Enjoying this so far. And I love the Stacey shirt! Why hasn't Disney hired you as a shirt imagineer yet? They're seriously missing out on some great Rob designs. I'd have at least two of each. :cool2:

I look forward to your next update. As it turns out, my daughter and I were in the Magic Kingdom on your birthday as well. I wonder if I will show up in the background of any of your pictures.

Wishes-o'clock, that's just cuteness. Kind of like those ducks.

And Cowboy scene? I really thought that was just an Disney urban legend?!

Thanks So MUCH!! YES Please please please Disney hire me!!! I work cheap!

Thanks Rob! Oh how awesome!!! Yes, for sure keep a lookout for yourselves.

Haha thanks, I love making up words to see if it catches on, lol. OMG those were precious!

It was sure starting to feel like it since I hadn't seen it since 2006. But yeah, pretty darn exciting.

Um, Stacey should absolutely be part of orientation!

By the way, that kid on RnRC is hysterical. I laughed so hard.

I hate it when I go to a show and the person behind me talks the whole time. If you don't want to watch it, don't go in. Of course, I also get peeved when people talk on the monorail and I can't hear the voiceover. :rotfl:

YAY all caught up!

DUDE what is up with that cheesecake?!

I would die if the Stacey Channel wasn't working :faint:
I love your home made shirts :thumbsup2 I had one this past trip that you will...eventually see

I know it's early, but why does everyone on the train in the first picture look so unamused? But the sleeping guy :lmao:

"If a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, then a gazillion pounds of it has to be better... Right??!!" YES, RIGHT!!! That's my theory anyway.

I've read some TR's that mentioned the author saw other guests walk into One Man's Dream and realized it's not 'a ride' and leave. How about NO! Just leave, go home right now, no one loves you.

She really should. She's an integral part of the Disney fabric!

Hehe, I thought it was cute too. God bless him for trying.

It really is annoying and that's just it. If you want to talk, don't go inside. Simple.
Ha, I won't lie, I tend to get a little upset about that too, especially Por Favor. This is important stuff people!!!

:yay:

Seriously right??!! What in the multi-colored hell were they thinking? Just brutal.

I came close. Really really close.

I love home made shirts. So much more personal. Stacey shirt was absolutely necessary for birthday day. I can't wait to see your shirt, although the tutu will be tough to top. :thumbsup2

That cracked me up. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

I think it makes sense. Disney logic overrides all else.

OMG I've seen that first hand. No lie. "Oh this isn't a ride". I make no promises that those people are not now part of the exhibit... or under the exhibit. :rolleyes1

You truly got a birthday present in getting the Cowboy scene!! I have been on that ride many times and have only gotten the Cowboy scene 3 times!!! This may date me a little....once in '95 on my first trip to Disney, once in the early 2000's, and then the last time on our Disneymoon in 2007!! Such birthday pixie dust. :goodvibes

The kid on RnRC reminds me of a post I saw on facebook where the caption is "mom said it would be fun". :lmao: I was completely cracking up!!! You have great luck with your fellow ride mates. Your photopass pictures are priceless!!

I am loving your TR! Can't wait to hear more about the FP+. We will be using it for the first time in June for my DS's graduation trip!

Hi Joleen, glad to have you back. I totally consider getting the Cowboy scene birthday magic. Amazing how long a person can go between cowboys.

Oh man that caption would fit perfectly. That's the real joy of ride photos... everyone else.

Aww thank you. As you probably know, it's all FP+ now across the board. At the risk of spoiling anything, I didn't have good luck with FP+ myself, but I had some wonderful and understanding CM's so it didn't affect me too much. Most others I've talked to had a good experiences though, so you should have no issues at all.

All caught up! What a great Birthday! And what's up with CMs not knowing who Stacey is....right? :rolleyes1

Thanks Alan, it was a great birthday so far for sure. I seriously have no idea how it's possible not to know Stacey. But I promise they know now!!!

"YOU'RE NEVER TOO OLD TO WISH UPON A STAR"
Day 2 – December 4, 2013 Part 4

In advance of the next update I wanted to share a couple photos from this past weekend.
I awoke on Sunday morning to some unexpected newly fallen snow, and as annoying as snow can be, this was just so beautiful.

sn1.jpg

Most importantly, this of course led me to do a little investigating and my suspicions were confirmed.

sn2.jpg

Yes, she creates beautiful images and landscapes, but her penmanship is indeed quite poor.

**************************************************

I had just left MGM after visiting Animal Kingdom to start my day, and now arrived here.

After parking in the TTC parking lot,
I was making my way to the tram when I noticed movement in the little water way that separates the 2 parking lots.

Hmmmmm, lets take a closer look shall we???

Yessir, my very first wild Florida gator sighting ever, and it happened in the Magic Kingdom parking lot which makes him a Disney Gator.
So of course I took a seat as I assumed at some point he would begin to sing and dance and entertain like I’ve been promised by all Disney movies.
But, after watching the little fella do nothing for a while (clearly channeling the Kilimanjaro Crocs as his inspiration),
And then considering the possibility that Mama or Papa may be around somewhere,
I made my way to the waiting tram, on to the TTC, and then on to Magic Kingdom.

Walking into Magic Kingdom is frankly one of my most exciting moments in life every single time I do it.
It just does not get old, but if it ever does get old, you have my permission to end my existence on this earth.

74.jpg

I don’t know about you, but the latest Terminator models don’t appear quite as threatening to me.

75.jpg

Making the day even more magical, they even had a grand welcoming for me on my birthday as I hit Main Street.

THANK YOU MAGIC KINGDOM!

On the stroll down Main Street USA, I made sure to get a photopass photo for my birthday,

79.jpg

And then of course a castle picture on its own, because it’s part of the agreement giving you access to the park in the first place.

80.jpg

After admiring the beauty that is Cinderella Castle, I headed back into New Fantasyland to finish what I started with Voyage of the Little Mermaid,
And to fulfill a birthday request from Brenda which stated to get a hug from Ariel.
I do not argue with things like that. This was turning into quite the Ariel day.

Generally, I have no problem waiting in character lines by myself, and this time was no different.
But I was seriously touched by the family in front of me when they asked if I was with anyone.
When I responded that, No, it was just me, the mother of the group responded… “I love that!!”

In really no time at all, I was under the sea with a mermaid,

And she wasted no time showing her delight for my birthday.

Day 2 – December 4, 2013 Part 4 Continued

I found myself really craving seafood for some reason, but thinking that inappropriate given who I just met,
I decided on Chicken Nuggets because Disney Chicken Nuggets are the best in the world.
Trust me on this!
So I made my way to the closest place to get said Chicken Nuggets, passing a couple of castles on the way.

I arrived at Pinocchio’s.

87.jpg

Many of you know that Pinocchio’s offers some seating overlooking Small World.
Scary as that is, I actually do enjoy sitting near the windows as I watch boatful after boatful of guests sailing into certain doom.
But this week, Small World was in reburb, so they placed extra high security coverings over the windows in the form of black blankets and tape.

Blankets and tape.

I’m telling you, that MyMagic+ expense has really hit hard.

Nonetheless, even with all these high tech security procedures, someone, somehow, managed to break through this seemingly impenetrable covering.
I swear though, that it was not me!!!
But I am not one to walk away from an opportunity when it presents itself.

Truth be told, it really wasn’t all that exciting.

After dinner, I headed towards Frontierland pausing first for a nighttime shot of the most photographed bathrooms on Planet Earth.

90.jpg

Upon arriving in Frontierland, I noticed the Castle Dream Lights were on and looking lovely from here.
That castle is of course always gorgeous from any angle, but add on the Dream Lights and… yeah, if you’ve never seen them in person,
Get yourself booked for a Christmas season trip pronto!

Now anybody who knows me at all knows that I am extremely... obsessed ...with Wishes.

I Love it like a Fat Kid Loves Carrots.

Yes, I know the saying is usually "Fat Kid Loves Cake", but that never made any sense to me at all.
It really doesn’t require a huge quantity of cake to make a kid fat; “Fat Kid Tolerates Cake” could just as easily apply.
But… If a kid loves carrots and is STILL overweight... That kid must REALLY LOVE carrots.

Well, that’s how intensely I feel about Wishes.

This was my one true must do for the evening, so I had nothing else that was absolutely critical.
I was in Magic Kingdom before Wishes O’Clock, so everything else was bonus time.

One other thing about me though is this… I… Love… Big… Al.
And wouldn’t you know it… a show was starting in just a few short minutes.

After the show I headed back towards Main Street and learned something important about myself.
I don’t walk too many steps in this area without taking a castle photo ESPECIALLY when it’s lit like that.

"Yes, she creates beautiful images and landscapes, but her penmanship is indeed quite poor." :lmao: :lmao:

OMG MAGIC KINGDOM. HOLIDAY DECORATIONS. SO PRETTY.

That's so nice of them you have your birthday welcoming! ;)

"I found myself really craving seafood for some reason, but thinking that inappropriate given who I just met" O M G :rotfl2: Yeah, please don't eat her friends.

Most photographed bathrooms on planet earth :thumbsup2 They should add a placard stating just that. That is quite the accomplishment. And I'm being completely serious here because that's MY castle.

I know that the holidays are over and all..but looking at your castle pictures with the lights :lovestruc

Nice find - the alligator in the parking lot swamp, that is. I once saw a bobcat on the property of SSR. True story. I was on the boat heading to DTD. The kind captain pointed him (or her) out.

I love the picture of the sun settings across bay lake. Just lovely.

And, really, who doesn't get choked up when entering the MK. I know I do. Every time! Without fail.

Nice pics from the IASW rehab. I guess they take all the dolls out and repaint them. Hmmm…OK.

I have never eaten at Pinnochios and I have been to the MK SO many times. How is that possible?

You really got some beautiful night time pics and castle pics! :thumbsup2
