I wanted to know is this something an 11 year old and adults would like or is it mostly for younger children ? Right now I have a fastpass for it but if it is not something we will enjoy more than Splash we may change it .

My DD10 and I went back in January and we thought it was cute! She didn't volunteer for any parts but I think it's up the the kid. DD is in that "easily embarrassed" stage right now. ;)

We love it! We are mom, dad and a 14 year old. We probably have 3 FP+ for it for our upcoming 9 day trip.

Ok so maybe we should keep it, do we get our picture taken with the Beast that would be worth it maybe ?

A couple of trips back my family got to test ETWB while it was still behind the walls, I guess it was sort of a soft opening. My kids loved it and they were 11 and 9 at the time, however they didn't get a part only because they were really shy and didn't know what to expect. Now when we go in 13 days, we have a FP+ for this attraction and both girls who are 10 and 13 now are planning on getting a part. It really is a cute show and DH and I really like it for all the details that are inside and out of the attraction :goodvibes. BTW, when we went the first time, there were many adults that had parts in the show too.

Beast isn't in the attraction (unless someone is acting him out), however Belle will be there and everyone that is apart of the show will get a picture with her. There will be a Photopass Photographer that will take your picture for you. The only way you can get a photo with Beast in New Fantasyland is if you had dinner reservations at BOG.

Ok it sounds fun and since we have never been to it we will just keep the fastpass. Something new is always fun when you have done everything else anyway :thumbsup2

Oh ok :scratchin guess I'm confused :rotfl: We do have a fastpass for lunch at BOG can we get a photo with the Beast at lunch or is this only for dinner reservations ?

This past Feb, my mom, sister and I did it. My sis and I are both several years out of college, and we enjoyed it. The fact that we got selected as suits of armor and laughed as my mom tried to figure out how to use her camera without the flash might have had something to do with it.

The mirror and madam wardrobe are both cool effects, and worth seeing at least once. The show itself is maybe a 10 minute version of B&tB being enacted with audience volunteers playing most of the non Belle roles, followed by a really quick photo session with Belle. If you don't mind making a fool of yourself, definitely volunteer for a role.

We're 2 adults in our 60's with no kids, and we really enjoy it - in fact, we've done it 3 times. Besides the show itself, the visual effect of the door from the workshop into the library is stunning, and the animation of Lumiere is really impressive too.

LOL, I can second this! I did ETWB on this year's solo trip. When casting parts, they will have the guests (all at the same time) make certain sounds, do certain things, and choose parts from that. When they had us make the Joanne Worley vocal sound for the Wardrobe, I thought, what the heck, you only live once and went for it. The CM instantly picked me out and I got to be the Wardrobe. :)

Even if you don't participate, it's cute and worth doing once.

You can only get a picture with Beast at dinner.

My DD (12), myself (41), and my mom (60ish) did ETWB on Christmas Day. I really wanted to see the effects. My DD is super shy and didn't want a part. My mom is the most easily embarrassed person in the world and she was chosen for Mrs. Potts. Honestly if it wasn't Disney she would have refused but she did her very best! I'm glad we got to see it but it was a once and done for us. DD did get a good picture with Belle and she uses her bookmark.

I had a solo Disney trip earlier this year and I ended up going to ETWB, just because I had some time to kill and I wanted to see Lumiere. It was definitely a highlight. I loved seeing the little kids playing their parts and the whole thing was so stinkin' cute. I would say for older kids and adults it's not a MUST do, but an experience one time type of thing. :)

You should always try things once. If you want to use a FP+ on Splash, you could hit Belle after Wishes and there should not be much of a line.

This is something we have never, ever done, but we're up for trying new things on our trip in October! Can someone fill me in? Where is this located, how frequently do "shows" run, what is a reasonable wait time for the standby line, is it possibly a 4th FP+ option, when is the best time to go, etc.? Thanks for your help! :thumbsup2

ETWB takes place inside Maurice's cabin, which is located just inside New Fantasyland on the left, just before the bridge to BOG.

I am an empty-nester and DH and I did this last summer... in fact, he was chosen as a knight (he was a little embarrassed, lol). We loved it. It is a good way to relax and unwind, as you will be seated in the "library" after walking through a mirror that magically transforms into a passageway right before your eyes (really awesome). Give it a try! Not sure if it's a FP+ or not. We got there around 10:00a.m. and stood in stand-by for about 10-15 minutes. And the stand-by wasn't bad because most of it is inside Maurice's cabin.

IF you are going to do this, then definitely use FP. It is one of the slowest moving lines in all of Disney.

We have done it several times and really enjoy it. It's definitely doing at least once to see the special effects.
