Enchanted 10k...aka I'll do anything to go to Disney

Just registered for the new 2014 Enchanted 10k! I am generally just a 5k run-walk kind of person so this will definitely be a new challenge for me but I love WDW and runDisney knows how to do a race right so I'm pretty pumped! Who else is with me?!?!

I am all for Disney races. I am not doing the Princess races..well..who knows..but I am down there for the marathon weekend. Yes, I love the Disney thing!

I have been doing 5K races for years.....I can't wait to start to train for the Enchanted 10K, which will be my first Disney Race.

So, so, so, so excited!!!!!

Count me in too! My daughter has been helping me realize a lifelong dream of mine to be a runner! She ran track in high school and has been amazing at helping me get started! I really wanted something to work towards and the 10k was perfect!! I'm so excited but I'm scared too! Lots of work ahead of me!

Newbie with a question...Does anyone know what the course is for the Enchanted 10k? I know it's through Epcot but didn't know if there's a map posted anywhere?

I have not seen a map yet either, but I'm a newbie also!! I keep checking, though! Maybe someone else has some information on the course??

Will be interesting to see if they resurrect the route they used for the old Wine and Dine 10k. It started at WWoS, ran through HS, then onto the pathway to Boarwalk, by YC/BC and into Epcot adjacent to the Intl gateway entrance. It's basically the latter part of the marathon course.

I read somewhere that one of the epcot races in january (I think the 5K) is through future world and world showcase so maybe it will be included in the 10k too

I am doing the 1/2 and DH is doing the Enchanted 10k.....think he has just noticed its mainly princesses!!! Do many men participate

There are tons of guys at the races. They dress up too! There were 4 guys at Everest dressed at princesses. My fave was Jasmine-dude

I saw Jasmine-dude at Everest!!! and definitely agree it was pretty close to a 10K, though I didn't run the scavenger hunt part...Just signed my bf up for the Enchanted 10k and am dragging him along! Makes me even more excited! This will be his first 10k but more importantly his first adult trip to Disney! Can't wait to share my love for Disney with my man!

I'm in the same boat! I'm really more of a walker than a runner right now, but I have run a couple of 5Ks in the past.

Hey everyone! I had to share that I signed up today as well! Only run 5ks so far but I'll be running a BIG 10k here in Atlanta on the 4th of July! Been wanting to run a Disney race as an excuse for another trip! I'm dragging my parents along and they're running too!! Can't wait!!!!
