Encantada, Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms or Emerald Island?

Decisions, decisions! I've narrowed my search down to these 4 locations. The quotes I have kept are pretty similar in cost so I'm trying to figure out which community to stay in. We stayed in WH last time so I am familiar with it. I know nothing about the other places, except I read on here that WP is a little older. Help please!

I need to quit looking on homeaway! I now found some great townhomes in crestwynd bay for less than anywhere else! Any thoughts on this community too?

Thanks! I already did a search (and read that thread) but it was from almost 2 yrs ago. Same with anything I found on Encantada. I was hoping for some newer opinions

I have only been to WH (in a townhome) and WP (in a villa). I liked both communities, they are not that far apart. WH is the newer community and the pool there has a slide. Both are gated and as with any rental it depends on the owner/management company as to the standard of furnishings etc.

I too have looked at Encantada on VRBO and find the prices cheaper than WH, but don't know much about it.

I have never stayed at any of them but we are staying in a 4 bdrm townhouse in Encantada in June. I decided to go with that because it is a bigger home then what offered in WH and WP and the splash pool is bigger as well, it's 12x24 and most are only 10x10. My girls are older so the bigger pool will be nice. It was also only 800.00 for the week! Take a look if you are interested and the owner is great at responding right away! vrbo.com/294090

Nope. I think I have ruled out emerald island and Windsor palms though. I saved 3 quotes from owners in WH that are $650 or under which is about the same as WP. Encantada is still on my list and now crestwynd bay (which is a good $100-120 cheaper for the week but no private pool).

We chose it because it was right next to WH and alot less expensive. We paid $65/nt + tax for 10 nights. The owner was great to work with, which was important to me. The townhouse was perfect for the 4 of us. It was super clean, had everything we needed (comfy beds, nicely stocked kitchen, everything worked fine, super close to the parks). You can see the fireworks at MK from the master window. We loved parking right outside our door. It was very quiet, even when both townhouses next to us were being used. You don't get a private pool, but we never even used the community pool. We are looking at it for our next trip, when we will have two more people in our group. I think if you have any more than 6 people it would be a bit cramped. But they do provide a pack & play, two strollers and a high chair if you need it.

We might have a group of 8 on our next trip, and I am also looking at the other communities on your list, so I'm interested in everyone's input.

We just stayed at Windsor hills. I would agree that crestwynd is literally right next store to Windsor hills.upon leaving the gated entrance of wh, and taking a left the first driveway on your left is the entrance to crestwynd. From looking at the pictures for crestwynd the pool seems much smaller than the Windsor hills pool. We paid about 640 a week. check out my pics in my trip report "otherwise of Orlando"
