During EMM, prior to the park opening at 9AM, do they allow EMM guests to head into Frontierland from Fantasyland or are you held at a rope ?

Does the new park opening Castle Show start right at 9AM (if park opens at 9AM) ? I used to enjoy the park opening show with Casey Jr, Family of the Day, etc. and I'd like to watch the new show.

We have two MK days, not sure if we should watch show on our EMM day or on another MK morning. Thoughts on which would be a better day to see the show.

EMM Guests are not allowed into Frontierland until 9:00 AM.

"Let The Magic Begin" starts at 8:55 AM.

You are paying a tidy sum for EMM. Most find they utilize the time until 9 for rides and THEN go in the restaurant to have their breakfast, or even try to get in a Fantasyland ride or two at 9 then eat breakfast.

We plan to have breakfast from approx 9:30 to 10 AM. So we have from 9AM to 9:30AM to ride one or possibly two other popular rides not included in EMM, without much of a wait. For us, we will get our fill of riding 7DMT, PP, POOH from approx 7:45 to 8:55, over an hour.

Not sure how they open the rest of the park with the new morning show at the Castle at 8:55 AM and EMM guests roaming freely in Fantasyland between PP, &DMT and PP. Looking for fastest route into Frontierland or where are guests held at 8:55AM ? Hoping someone who has attended EMM and would know the answer ?

Pretty sure guests are held at the hub, I imagine if you walk towards HM you will be stopped just past PP.

Just a heads up - you don't actually get back to the rides until about 8am. For EMM on May 15, we were let into the park at 7:45. Just wanted to mention that in case that changes your timing at all.

But to your original question - guests were not allowed out of Fantasyland when we went.

^^^From what I have read, during EMM the three open rides are virtually walk ons with no wait times. Was that your experience ?

Yes. When we went the event was sold out, but there were absolutely no lines. We split up since my youngest couldn't ride 7DMT, but my older girls got 8 rides on 7DMT, 2 on Pooh, and 3 on Peter Pan. By 8:55 we were first in line to meet Elena.

It was fantastic and worth every penny. It was my girls' favorite part of our trip. If you have any other questions about it let me know.

Our strategy will be similar ride 7DMT around 7 or 8 times, ride Pooh & Pan 2 or 3 times. Than at 8:55AM head to Big Thunder Mtn and possibly Pirates. Around 9:25 to 9:30 head to the breakfast buffet. Other Fantasyland rides we can experience without much of a wait after our breakfast. (we do not have an interest in Princesses but what a great opportunity to be first in line to meet them ! ). :flower:

In my experience, I think it will be difficult to do both rides and be back to Fantasyland for breakfast by 9:25.

You won't be let out of Fantasyland before the park opens at 9. Cast members will stop you right in front of Peter Pan. So much time is spent walking to the rides, especially considering you're going to be walking against the flow of people. The Pirates ride is 8+ minutes & Big Thunder is 3+ minutes. Additionally, you may have to wait a few minutes in line, plus the time walking through the queues.

Why don't you plan breakfast for closer to 10? We got there around 9:45 because we were all starving and there was still plenty of food. There was no rush to eat and they were still putting fresh stuff out.

For my family, kids are one 7 year old boy and one 6 year old girl, we were ready to eat by 8:45 and done by 9 walking to ride big thunder with no wait. We had ridden pooh twice, pan 3 times and mine train 6 or 7 times and my kids actually didn't want to ride those rides anymore. The reason I say this is bc don't be surprised if you are done and want to eat and keep moving. We then hit up big thunder and rode 3x's before riding splash 2x's so glad we didn't have to backtrack to eat. We were there in early May so that could have made a difference as well. We just loved emm!!

^I responded because it sounded like the OP wanted to go to other parts of the park even before their time was up and possibly before they ate, which for that kind of money I wouldn't skip.

How you did it makes sense, especially if all the rides are up. When we went 7DMT was closed until the end of our exclusive time. So we were unable to accomplish what you did. Because 7DMT was closed the other rides were busy so we got 2 rides on PP, 2 on Pooh, 1 on Carousel and only a few times on 7DMT. We were eating at 8:50-ish way ahead of the crush because rope drop were on their way to 7DMT. But I would not venture as far as Frontierland if I had not eaten, as they may not make it back in time.

I'm glad to read this! I planned on eating first to keep close to our usual breakfast time. And to not cut into that first hour after rope drop.

Sorry to hear mine train was down for you, that really stinks. I completely agreee with you. We originally were thinking small world and haunted mansion then eating, but when my kids were done with mine train, it was nice to eat and be done with fantasyland by 9am. FYI, The breakfast was filling and good so I am glad we didn't skip it.

Have fun! I just loved this event. Also, it was fun that somehow in Disney magic, our mine train pictures showed up in my memory maker. They are some of my favorite pictures of the trip with all of us smiling and laughing with no one else in the picture.

Since it was the purpose of the event for us it was quite the bummer, and certainly left a sour taste. We won't do it again. We loved the one at DHS, I am hoping down the road they bring that back. Was really hoping one at Pandora but now they added breakfast to Canteen it would be more difficult, fingers crossed they can figure it out. It would sell out in minutes. If they were smart there is a private dining room built in there because booking Pandora for private after hour events once the daily EMH fade away would be quite the event.

Last August when we did EMM the caraousel and tea cups were open with the other 3. We rode each multiple times. Lined up to meet princesses before 9. Then headed to Its a Small World and had a quiet empty breakfast around 9:30. Afterwards we had some FP to use in Adventureland and there was a special Belle meet. We were at our pool by 12:30 and headed back to MK for dinner and some more rides. We loved it.

I am really looking forward to our EMM day in September. What time should we plan to get to MK?

I think we will ride as much of the 3 rides until 9:00 and then try to do a few more things in fantasy land before eating around 9:30/9:45. Maybe meet and greet the princesses, or Areil ride, meet and greet and dumbo. My parents are going to be with us and my mom is a slow eater. It's painful to go to a buffet with her. I'm not sure if she would feel rushed if we didn't start breakfast until 9:45. I'd like to be finished with fantasy land by lunch time and plan to head to big thunder mountain for a fp.

We made sure to be at MK for 7:30am check in (we actually arrived by 7:20am, so it wasn't rushed). We went last August (and are going again this August), so security measures are apparently tighter than last summer I believe? Still, it shouldn't be too busy/long line to get through at 7:30am.
The buffet is very good, but not as huge as a regular buffet (TH, CP...). Perhaps you could pop out to IASW or HM if your mom is still eating and meet up with them after she is finished eating? We also had our breakfast around 9:45am. It worked out perfectly. EMM is so much fun. It was a highlight of our trip last year and we are looking forward to it again! Have fun:goodvibes
