EMM Early Morning Magic cutoff question

We are headed to EMM on Monday May 8 and super excited. On the disney website it says the event is from 745-1000a (10 is when bfast closes).

I have read that sometimes they let the BOG PPO guests on at 845a, but they use standby line and EMM yellow wrist bands use the FP+ line to their hearts content.

My question is this...how long do they let the EMM guests use the FP+ line once the park opens? Is it good till 10a, or just until park opens at 9a?

For us, it was just until the park opened.

And they didn't allow the BoG guests into line until 9. They were held back until that time.

Thanks! When did you goto breakfast and when did they shut bfast down? We are planning to hit breakfast at 930a, is that enough time, does everyone rust the restaurant at that time?

What we have experienced (did EMM two times) was PPO were held until 9:00 when the park opened.

We were only able to use our wrist bands for FP entry if there was a problem during EMM and one of the rides was down, then we could go back to that ride any time until 12 I believe, and get into the FP line with the wrist band.

Great info from the PPs. On an EMM morning, the BOG folks will be held until very close to and/or right at 9AM. I have both personally experienced this and it’s a pretty consistent report around the DIS.

For breakfast, they don’t usually shut down right away, but that doesn’t mean show up at 10:10 and expect to be fed. We try to show up 9:40/9:50ish.

In case you haven’t seen it, there’s a lot of info and experiences on this thread: The “EMM” Thread – MK/Fantasyland Early Morning Magic FAQs - See Post 2 for Latest Dates

Have fun!

We weren't there when it shut down, so I can't verify that time.

We had breakfast at 9:30. We were there for about 20 minutes. There wasn't a line or crowd when we ate. And it didn't look like they were ready to shut it down. They were still replenishing the food.

Thanks so much! Somehow I missed that thread when I searched for EMM. I just read all 22 pages and made a posting with some final questions. Thanks again!!

We always get in a couple of rope drop rides (often Big Thunder, and Haunted Mansion) when the park opens at 9, before we head to breakfast, so it is around 9:30 - 9:40 when we eat. We never encountered a long line, and they were still replenishing the tables both times, so no worries there as long as you don't wait right until 10:00 to go eat.

We have done EMM twice now. We have found the best strategy is to eat about 8:40-8:45. By that point we were actually tired of riding everything over and over so we didn't feel like we were missing out on any ride time. If you have FPs for other popular rides for late morning/early afternoon or later, doing this will also allow you to head to some of the other popular rides at rope drop while everyone else is racing to 7DMT, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, etc. You can do Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Jungle Cruise as pretty much walk ons at rope drop. Doing this has allowed us be finished with everything by very afternoon. In our experience, if you eat between 9:00-10:00 you are wasting valuable park time that will allow you to walk on popular rides. By 9:45 or so the lines start to pick up at those secondary rides.
