EMH-which entrance for Cars Land? (main or GCH?)

We're staying at the DLH (1st time ever! WOOT!) and I have some clarification questions that I couldn't find when i was searching threads and super threads:

1) Are DLH guests able to use the GCH entrance? or only GCH guests can use it?
2) For Carsland (RSR, of course), which entrance is the quicker one to use to get to RSR first? (Assume that I'm the 1st few people in line at the GCH and/or the main turnstile entrance)

Guests from all 3 DLR hotels are allowed to use the GCH entrance to DCA.

The line at park opening (EMH or regular) at the GCH entrance is long and slow.
I always use the main entrance at park opening.

That was our experience when we stayed at GCH two years ago too. We used the main gate first thing in the morning.

Another thing that might be obvious but helpful is to know that the later the EMH is, the busier it will be. More guests will get up and go to a 9 a.m. EMH than will get up for a 7 AM EMH.

I agree with previous poster, do not use the GCH entrance for park opening, it's totally fine other times but not then.

You have all helped ease my mind so much...I'm so glad I asked this board! THANK YOU!!

And yes, DCA is available to us at 7 AM on Monday, October 6th...so I plan to be in line at the security tables/tents no later than 6:15 AM...maybe even by 6:00 AM (hoping that is early enough? I will go earlier, if you all think that I should??)

So that way I can be first at the gates/turnstiles...

Are the EMH gates to the left or right side of the turnstiles?

And we should still do the "wide right" technique for when Red appears from the left as we head toward RSR, correct?

We had no issues at all the two times we used in during our late August trip. For an 8AM EMH we were there at about 7:20.

They let us into the park to wait about 20 minutes before opening so even if there was a queue at the hotel entrance everyone got into the park well in advance.

There is something to said for the convenience. We paid extra to stay at GCH for it so decided to give it a whirl and were not disappointed.

We have used both entrances for EMH and like the pps have said, definitely use the main gate! We showed up 30 min. early at the hotel entrance and the line wound all the way to the back patio of White Water Snacks and back down to Napa Rose. When we used the main entrance, we again showed up 30 min. early, did the wide right technique and were the first to ride RSR.
