We may be going to the MK for one day on April 13th...yes I know we are crazy but we've been twice in the past 5 months and are going down to scope out the area for possibly moving there (that's a whole other topic :teeth: ) so this is a treat for the kids for putting up with house hunting, school visits, etc.

Anyway, I know that it is going to be a "10" day and crazy and all that, but, I am trying to convince my husband that we should just stay at the POP Century (he, who said he would never stay at a value needs to see the upside of this...he is a hotel snob as he travels for a living) for the nite on the 12th and get into MK as early as possible on the 13th...8am I think. Will I be able to do this? are we still a guest if we stayed the nite before or do I need to be staying the 13th to get in early on the 13th.

I hope this makes sense. Any advice would be appreciated as I am trying to do this as cheaply as possible given that's its not a vacation per se, but an information gathering week.

You are a guest on both check in and check out days. Have a great time, and good luck with the move! :)

If your first day (arrival day) is an EMH, yes, you can go to the park early...
BUT you need to check in to the resort FIRST.

Your room will likely not be ready (it MIGHT be) but you can get your resort key-cards at this early time (one for each member of your party) and leave your luggage with the bell service, if you like.

Then, using your resort key-cards, you can go to the EMH.

Same deal on the LAST day (check-out day)... you will all just KEEP your resort key-cards (you don't turn them in at check-out) so you'll be fine for EMH on that day as well.

We do this every trip.

How exciting moving to Orlando. All the best for that. Enjoy the vacation too!
How early can you check in to Disney resorts. We are arriving a little late and wondered about staying somewhere cheap for the night and checking in early. I know we would have to leave the luggage at bell services for the day.

Like any good hotel, you can check in (get your key-card, leave the luggage) virtually any time.

I hope you have a great time! Good luck with the move!!
