EMH on May 20 for DCA

Hello everyone - we are planning a short trip May 18 - 20 and staying at the GCH. We were disappointed that the EMH is on Mondays as we won't arrive on time that first day (we are driving from our hotel in Carlsbad) to take advantage. We then thought things would be okay as we could do the extra hour on Wednesday instead and get into DCA early on our last day before our flight. Looking tonight I notice that Disneyland's website shows EMH for MK that day (a Wednesday). Do they sometimes change those days or am I reading the calendar wrong? I'm debating whether I should check in on Sunday night instead (at a much higher cost than my Carlsbad hotel though). Any ideas?

They sometimes swap days when MM is canceled for events like runDisney or CHOC Walk. In this case the 24 hr day on Friday and possibly some kind of media event on the 21st.

They swapped the days because DCA closes at 6pm on Wednesday and DL closes at 6pm on Thursday. DL also closes at 7:30 on Tuesday. The early closing park opens an hour early on it's early closing day. Both parks were supposed to open at 9, but they open at 8 on the day they close early. So the EMH were swapped so that they weren't opening at 7am I suppose.

You could also leave Carlsbad really early and check in at the GCH before the park opens for EMH. They will give you your room keys and text you your room number when it is ready. They will also hold your luggage if necessary.
