Just returned from a week at the world. For those of you that haven't been to Disney since E-night became EMH night be aware of the huge crowd difference. During the days of e-night we used to buy a wrist band and get unlimited use of the e-rides. It was awesome. The crowds were light and we could ride the rides repeatedly. Because of this we had made our APR's according to which park was offering EMH (we did not have park hopping). Big mistake. The crowds started to build in the evening. By the time the start of EMH began we could barely move. Waits became 60-90 minutes and there were no fastpasses. I don't know if this is generally the case but we ended up leaving each of the EMH's and decided to always be at the parks an hour to an hour and a half before opening so we could get in as many rides as possible before the crowds built. At MK we rode Splash Mtn 2x, Thundermtn 2x, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Tea cups, Indy Speedway, and Buzz Lightyear all between 9:00 and 10:30. Then we relaxed with fast passes and "light" rides. At AK we were on the first safari truck, At Epcot we were on the first Soarin' flight (by the way all fast passes were distributed by 11:00)but the early mornings really paid off when our 9 year old son was picked to be the Big Kahuna at Typhoon Lagoon. We received a private tour of the park by Lifeguard Dave (nice guy) and a special spot in the park and a medal. It totally made our trip. Our son is still beaming and has shown his medal to half our town. So if you're planning on trying to be at the park near opening just commit 100% and get going early. You can always come back and nap and swim. It's also safer to be at the very front of the pack than in the middle. Yikes!

I always go to AM EMH (virtually every day of the trip that we did not do a PM EMH late the night before)... never ONCE regretted an AM EMH... they are amazingly empty and easy to ride the open attractions.
If that park THEN starts to fill 2 to 3 hours later... WHO CARE'S? Were happy with "doing" that park for the day and we can HOP elsewhere or do lunch and take a rest until later.

PM EMH's are a mixed bag. I've been when they were PACKED... but on other nights, they were just like the AM's... "free rides" on all the open attractions.

And considering its FREE to go... if its busy, just people-watch or hit the exit (where ELSE are ya gonna go at 10pm, anyway?)
But if its not busy... you're ALL SET for EXTRA FUN!

I think it may also depned on what time of year u go. dm and i went in early may, and had a great time with EMH at MK. we got on sevearl of the rides with time to spare. as we were leaving the park, there were characters all over the place in front of the castle with minimal waiting. we got our pics with chip and dale, pooh and eeyore, timone, and micky and minnie( the lonest line with a 10 min wait). it was a blast!
