If EMH starts at 7AM, that's when you can sign up.

Thank you , its going to be an early morning but now I can switch the day up a bit :)

Do we know on an EMH 7am day what time the first show will start?
Thanks!

EMH doesn’t change the regular JTA times. But, changing the “regular hours” to open at 8AM instead of the normal 9AM very well might mean an earlier JTA show. You need to check the show listings as the date approaches.

It is subject to change, but when we were there a few weeks ago, the first show was at 9:40. My daughter participated in that one. We had to report for the show at 9:10.

Thanks! My sons are so looking forward to trying to sign up!

I know it’s hard to predict but how much time do you allocate for Jedi training (including how early you have to report)? Should we schedule morning fast passes and then search for a show time for once the fast pass windows are done?

Arrive 30 min. before the show.
The show runs about 25 minutes.

Figure the better part of an hour and you're pretty close.

If anyone can answer my follow up question (not to thread-jack but it might be relevant to others making a plan with Jedi Training)-

How long should we plan to actually be in line to sign up? Assuming we arrive early (7-7:30 the latest). If I figure we'll be in line to sign up for about 20 minutes, is that enough or does the line move more slowly/ quickly than that typically?

Asking because I am going to the park with 11 yo to sign up and DH is meeting me with the rest of our group a little later.

Thanks!

Last time we went , we were at the turnstiles an hour before rope drop, it was a mad house getting to the sign up area...think black friday ugh...that part was awful , by the time we walked fast and actually signed up it was about 20mins or less. We were the first people at our turnstile and were able to snag the second show of the day.

Was this with the 7 AM EMH opening for TSL?

What I'm hoping to do is go into the park at 7:30 AM, behind the TSL rope drop crowd (I know, that's not usually how it's done), and head over to sign-ups. We need a show that is after noon, and it seems like if I don't need one of the first few spots and/ or can be flexible on which time we get, I don't have to rush in with the EMH rope drop crowd.

I was hoping 20 minutes was enough time to plan on waiting in line (in which case DH can meet us for around 8 AM after hauling 14 yo and 2 yo out of bed). Seems like at the busiest time, that's enough so I should be okay.

No, last time was normal operating hours and no TSL...with a 7am EMH I plan on being at HS at 6am to makre sure we get an early show.

I was just there a few weeks ago. We arrived around 6:45 for a 7:00 a.m. EMH. We went to Jedi Training and signed up with no wait at all. The CMS at sign-ups were literally waiting for someone to come up to them. Everyone else went straight to TSL. I wanted to make sure my daughter got a spot, and I didn't want to backtrack too much so we did JTA sign-ups first. We then went to TSL and rode SDD with a 35 min. wait (although the sign when we got in line said 50 min), which I don't consider too bad. This day wasn't too busy. I noticed when we walked by sign-ups in the late afternoon...probably around 3 pm that the sign was out indicating spots were still available. YMMV and if you want to choose the time of your show, you should probably get there early.

Thanks so much!! Luckily for us, we aren't trying to go on the TSL rides early (have FP for Slinky Dog, will ride Alien Saucers standby and if the wait is too long for TSM we are opting to skip it this trip). We have a pretty open touring plan and any show after noon will work for us. We don't head to RnR or ToT until right before we wait for Fantasmic, if we bother with them at all, so any backtracking between lunch and around 6 PM would be minimal (and I hate backtracking so I completely get where that's a concern).

It hasn't been bad or difficult unless you really want an early time. We just got home yesterday. I was in the August planning group and someone had a daughter working the Training and repeatedly reported it wasn't hard to get a sign up. On our 2nd DHS day we arrived at the park around 10. Didn't even know where the sign up was so I had to ask. So got over there around 10:20. They offered us a spot in the 1:40 show which meant a 1:10 report time; but we had a fast pass for 12:45 to 1:45 so we opted for the 3:00 show.

The only confusing part is there are 2 lines. One is to sign up for a time. The other is for when you return to check-in for the show and maybe I missed it; but they didn't appear labeled and I got in the wrong one at first. Was there for a bit before I got to the front and was told I was in the wrong spot. Thankfully the correct line wasn't long either.

TSM is not a problem during EMH. When I mentioned we waited 35 min. for SDD, I should note that really my DH and my older daughters and mom waited 35 min. for SDD. I have a one year old who is too short for SDD so I got a RS. He and I rode TSM while they were doing SDD, which was a walk on the first time. We waited about 10 min the second time. My too short son and I then met up with the rest of our family and rode AS with about a 15 min. wait. Then I used my RS with my girls for SDD while DH and son and my mom mobile ordered food at Woody's Lunchbox. It was actually a really good morning. We were all so glad we got up and got there early for EMH, which doesn't happen often with my group.
