EMH evenings packed?

The couple of posts I've read seem to say that the evening EMH parks are packed. Is this true all the time or was it maybe just because it was Spring Break? We're going June 4-11 and was hoping that the evening EMH would be good touring times. HELP!!

Went to three EMH evenings this week and yes, they were packed. The lines for the first hour were just as crowded as they were during the day. Everyone was getting Fast Passes where available. I really think the crowds were due to the spring break-Easter week crowds. The first week of June should be nowhere near as busy.

We were there the 2nd week of February. The EMH evening at MK (the only EMH we went to) was just as packed as it was the next day. That week was much busier than expected so maybe that had something to do with it. In 3 hours we got to go on Aladdin's carpets, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and Teacups! And then the wait for a bus back to Pop was beyond my wildest imagination. Needless to say we didn't bother with any other EMH's!

Reviews on this and I would say it is hit or miss on crowd size right now.Going in late May and going to try for myself to see how it is.Going to do extra magic evening hours at AK,MK and Epcot on our May trip. :goodvibes :wave2:

Just bumping this up to hear more experiences. I am still undecided for our August trip. I don't know if we will try the evening EMH or just try for the am ones. Love to hear experiences from others during different times of the year etc. Thanks. :sunny:

I go to EMH nights crowds or not. What else are you going to do? LOL. I just like being in the parks at night - so much more magical. Even if I only get to do a few rides, or once in awhile none at all, nothing beats just staring at the castle all lit up in the dark.

We are leaving tomorrow for WDW. I have decided against the EMH nights. It's not worth it to me. My plan is to go to the park in the morning that just had the EMH the night before. Hopefully my luck will be better.

We went to two EMH nights during the Spring Break week of April 2-9, and while it was crowded, it was still worth doing. We loved being in the parks after dark, (We did the MK and MGM), and although we didn't race onto the rides like we used to during the old E-ride nights, we had fun. I never would have been able to get my DH, and two teen DS's up early, so it worked with our schedule. I'd say to go anyway, especially to the MK, where there are more big rides to hit, but go with reasonable expectations, and you'll have fun. :flower:

Ladydancer--that was going to be my strategy, too, when we go from June 12 to 24. Please let us know how you fared when you get back from your trip. Have a magical vacation!! :flower:

If the parks are crowded during normal hours, they may be very crowded the first hour but may die down later.

The EMH was great the week I was there because the crowd level was pretty low anyway. The longest wait we had for EMH at MK was 10 minutes.

The first hour of EMH evening at MGM was pretty packed. We just ended up leaving and going on the rides we wanted to another day.

Just back, and we only did the evening EMH at the MK.

The MK officially closed at 10 p.m., so it was open for EMH until 1 a.m. Space Mountain and Peter Pan were the only rides that offered FP that we wanted to ride.

It was definitely more crowded than morning EMH and the old E-ride nights. That said, we still accomplished a lot, particularly between the hours of 11:30 p.m. - 1 a.m.

All told, we were able to ride Space Mtn. twice with FP, Splash Mtn., BTMR, HM, PhilharMagic, Pirates, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, and the Carrousel.

We were there Easter week and loved the EMH. The parks were a little crowded at first, but Mk was open until 3:00 am. and by 1:00 am, we rode everything with very little wait. Peter Pan, Dumbo, and space Mountain were the only things with a wait. We were literally the only ones in line or on our boat. It was actually kind of creepy but cool.
