Ok...so not an emergency but in 2 weeks!! I quit my job and after my 2 week notice is up we are going to DL and LL before the new job starts. HELP!!!

I've been to WDW several times but never DL. We are driving from TX.

I was planning 2 days at DL and 2 days at LL...good? Or more at DL and less at LL? (kids are 9, 5 and 2 BTW).

Am I going to have trouble booking rooms this late?

I would definitely recommend no fewer than 3 days at Disneyland. LL can be done in a day. Leave early to beat the traffic, and eat breakfast in Carlsbad while waiting for the park to open. I would also suggest not making LL your last day; it's a nice park but might seem a bit of a letdown after all the Disney atmosphere.

Glad I asked then! Even with the water park and aquarium you do LL in 1 day?

Ahh, well, the waterpark isn't open yet (I'm not even sure if it will be open in two weeks for your trip) so none of us here on the boards have done that part ;) But the aquarium took me about 22 minutes to see everything lol.

ETA: Interesting... one "official" Legoland website says May 28th for the opening, and another "official" Legoland website says "June 2010"... wonder which is right!? They have hours posted starting May 28th... Links:

hmmmm...yes, that is very interesting!!

Here is another question...if we go to LL first and then DL we will be at DL on June 11th which I believe is when WOC starts. I'd rather avoid as many crowds as possible...should we do DL first and consider LL a bonus at the end. OR is WOC going to be so amazing that we should just fight the crowds?

This has nothing to do with WOC, since it's anybody's guess how things will be when it opens, but I would personally end the trip at DL, simply because in my opinion it is better than DL. You could always do DL, LL, and DL to break it up, but I'd try to make my last day at DL, although you are right in assuming that it will probably be crowded that day with WOC opening.

No you can't. Legoland has LONG lines, slow loading rides, and no fastpass equivalent unless you pay BIG bucks for the VIP passes ($150 per person).

I'd stick with two days for LL. It has a lot to see and do. Much of which requires quite a time commitment.

When my relatives came from Canada, they spent from opening until closing at LL. They loved it. They went before Disneyland which I think is better. It is different from Disneyland, not so ride oriented. They may like that, they may not. On the WOC day, just stay at DL and don't wander over to DCA. Of course it shouldn't be too busy there in the morning since the locals will come in the evening for the show.

Well...I think the deciding factor is going to be whether or not I can get the HOJO entertainment rate at the beginning of the week. It is listed for the 8th and 9th but I haven't called yet. If I do get it, we will have to do DL first.

Legoland was a lot better than I expected it to be! We spent two days there, and loved it. It's not Disneyland - but it has its own charm.

If it isn't busy, you can see quite a bit in a day - there really isn't enough for two days, but the second day was low key, and we had fun revisiting the parts we enjoyed.

We went last year with nephews about the same age as your children - they were 9, 7, and 3.
