Emerald Island

Hi,

We are going to be staying at the Emerald Island Resort the last of April, and I was wondering if anyone cares to post their experiences there? Was it close to WDW? TIA!

It is very close to AK you take Sherberth Rd. also known as entry point blvd. You will love EI. It is a great place to stay. Near the WDW parks, minutes from I4 to go either to tampa for BG or to Orlando to SW, IOA and US. The grounds are beautiful. There are tennis courts and a tot lot we used the volley ball pit for a giant sand box when it was not i use. We rented a home there and did not use the clubhouse pool but we walked around and it was quite clean. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We are going back in September/October. We can not get enough of the sun. I do not even plan on going to WDW if you can believe it we are just taking the kids down to swim. By Sept. we can not do any swimming where we live. My kids love the parks but would spend all the time in the pool if I let them. So that is just what we are going to do. Cheap,cheap, cheap.

We were there the week of March 20. Loved the resort and vacation home we stayed in. The location is very convenient for driving to WDW (using the Sherberth shortcut) and we definitely plan to stay there again.

I stayed in this home. I will be going back in Sept/Oct. or sooner if I can. I am hooked on the idea of a house and the warm sun. I know I must be adopted I can't possibly be a true New Englander!!!!!!

This is a good map of 192 right off where you will be staying. It has a lot of information and th short cut to th parks. It is Sherberth Rd or Entry Point Blvd. I use it all the time to refer people to different places in the area. The best grocery is to the west. It isa quiet area and very close. Also there is a Doc in a Box at the end ofthe intersection if you should need med care. If there is any thing else you need PM me I think I have been in the area to often does it tell.
