Emerald Aisle Question

Hi! I've been lurking on this site for several years and find it a wonderful source of news and information about Disney World. I finally have a question I need the members to answer.

We have a weekend trip to Disney World planned for May, and I decided I wanted a rental car. I got a really good rate through National's Emerald Club (Emerald Aisle) using an Entertainment code and free weekend day coupon.

In the course of making the reservation online, I had a question and called National's reservation number. During this conversation, the agent volunteered that Emerald Aisle at MCO currently required a stop at the counter. This has never previously been my experience - I always just go out to the parking structure to pick out/up my car.

Now to my question: Can anyone who has used Emerald Aisle recently tell if a counter stop is now required? (This could make me rethink the rental car.)

Any input would be very helpful.

I think the agent may be in error.
At a lot of National locations free day coupons must be dealt with at the counter. However, MCO has been one of the locations where you could present them at the exit booth. Unless that has changed, your agent may have just been confused.

Thank you. My feeling was that he was wrong, but thought I'd ask. The email confirmation of my reservation actually tells me to proceed directly to the garage. So, that's where I'll start.

(Our trip is short, so the least amount of time spent in line, the better.)

Thanks again

We were there last month (early Feb) and went straight to the gargage. Unless it changed over the last couple of weeks, it was still the same.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I highly doubt that National changed the policy over the last several weeks, especially since my confirmation tells me to go right to the garage, and I printed that just yesterday.

Thank you.

Thank you.

For Emerald Isle (National) and Quick Silver (Alamo), you go right to the same counter in the garage, not the counter in the terminal.

Huh? With EA at MCO you go straight out to your car and simply check out at the exit booth with the attendant.....
