Embroidery Design Programs

Hello, I have a brother pe500 and looking to buy a program that lets me make my own designs or just copy and paste an image from the internet to make a desgin for my machine.

Does any one know of a really good program that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is easy for a beginner?

What you want to do is called "digitizing". Most digitizing programs are expensive (several hundred dollars) and require a fair amount of computer and embroidery skills. I've been doing machine embroidery for about 10 years and will gladly pay someone else to do this work. There is an endless amount of designs already digitized for every subject. If you can't find exactly what you want - some embroiderers will do custom digitizing work. There are wonderful Disney designs (fill and applique) for less than $4 each. You can even get the Disney fonts! For me - I couldn't justify the time and money to digitize designs. Hope this perspective helped. Good Luck!
