Heading to CA on our trip out west -- DH, myself, DS (17) and DD (13) are ending our trip to Grand Canyon at Disneyland -- Friday after Thanksgiving to following Tuesday. We are torn on where to stay. Stayed at Candy Cane Inn two years ago over Spring Break in CA -- LOVED the convenience of it! It was so nice to be able to walk to and from the park -- even when exhausted at the end of the day! Only .4 miles away! This time we're looking into a package at Embassy Suites -- but it's 1.4 miles away. Not a problem in the morning when we're all fresh and eager to get there -- but that extra mile will hurt at the end of the day!
We're also not sure about letting our kids go on the shuttle alone, since it's apparently not just the Embassy Suites hotel.
Any thoughts on the Embassy Suites? As I said, we've been to Candy Cane Inn and would be happy to go back there -- but at Embassy, we're getting an amazing breakfast and 3 beds (2 doubles and a pull-out couch) -- which is a BIG advantage for our family.
How is their shuttle service? Do you end up waiting a long time for the buses?
