We are planning our first road trip to the world in July and need help finding a comfortable hotel in Pensacola. We would really like to stay in an Embassy Suites however just realized that there is not one in the area.

Can you recommend a comfortable hotel preferably a suite (living room w/bedroom separate) with a nice pool in Pensacola?

We typically stay at hotels in the Marriott family when we travel, and both Residence Inns and Towneplace Suites have the option of separate bedrooms. They typically only have one bed in the bedroom if you stay in a 1-bedroom suite. Residence Inns are nicer than Towneplace and have more extensive breakfasts, but we've always found both to be perfectly comfortable.

Friends of ours love Homewood Suites, I don't know anything about their rooms but they love them and stay once a week(business) at them.

Like you I love the Embassy Suites! Was looking into doing a beach vacation next year along the Gulf Coast. Was disappointed to learn that there are not a lot of ES along the coast of Florida. Have been looking into the Homewood Suites and Hampton Inns. The Homewood Suites look nice.
