embarrassing question about size

I have dinner reservations at the Garden Grill when I go to Disney in May. I am wondering if they have tables or booths. And would I be comfortable in a booth I am size 22.

They have both.....top is tables, bottom is booths. We sat at a booth years ago and I can't remember how big/small they were....sorry. But they do have tables as an option as well.

By the way. GG has always been one of our favorites....hope you enjoy it.

Hey Shannon...I sent you a PM. We sat on the upper level and it was all tables!

I was hoping to find a picture of DP and I in the booths at GG. We are extra Pooh sized although I am more Ursala-esque! :rotfl:

The tables move out and I (30-32w) sat in the center of the booth (U shaped). We were fine. We had our 2 kids with us and no one had any problems.

If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask. We even wrote a trip report on the Dis-abilities thread about going to WDW with our ASD son (6) and 2 Pooh sized people. :)

I'm a size 22 and didn't have any problems at all.

Enjoy your meal and experience!!

Yeah, as said before, even the booth tables scoot to accomodate people of various sizes. No worries.

My "pooh" sized (a good bit larger than a 22w) SIL usually won't sit in booths. But she didn't seem to have much problem with it. We were a table of 6 at a U-shaped booth and she scooted to the middle much to my surprise.

If you are uncomfortable about sitting in a booth, request something with chairs when you check-in. It could take a little longer but if you feel best about no booth then I doubt you would mind a little longer wait if it was necessary.(I was really suprised that they didn't request being sat at a table with chairs when we walked up to the booth because she always does when we are out at a restaurant back home.)

Don't be embarrassed about your size! I have found that no matter what my weight has been, there are always people larger than I, and Disney is very good at accommodating larger size people.

If you get to a restaurant and the chairs have arms that are uncomfortable, or getting into or out of a booth is uncomfortable (we have all dealt with the tables that don't move when trying to get into a booth) just tell the CM that you need something different and they'll fix it. Most restaurants have at least a few armless chairs just for this purpose - even if they aren't where you can see them. There's nothing worse than trying to enjoy a meal when you're physically uncomfortable (or worse, in pain) from the table and seat.

I've been to the Garden Grill with lots of Pooh sized friends and family, and no one has ever had a problem there.

I am very large and fit comfortably in the booth. Here is a pict.

I've been very glad to read all posted on this site becasue I've put on quite a bit of weight since I went last year and I've been worried about fitting in stuff and all...Thanks everyone for the posts!
