Embarkation day lunch difference between Cabanas and Enchanted Garden?

We have always done Cabanas for lunch as soon as we board.
I have read Enchanted Gardens has less selection but I don't know what specifically.
What food options will I be missing if we do Enchanted Garden on our next cruise?

I don't know if anyone can really say for certain beyond they have a more limited selection due to space limitations. What may or may not be missing my vary by cruise.

I had thought they might leave off certain sections. For example, maybe they would not have a soup section or a pizza area.

I believe they have all the "sections" just not as large a selection within each.

Is Enchanted much less crowded? i am all for avoiding crowds, especially the first day or two before DH (and everyone else)has relaxed into Island Time....

If you get there early, yes. The later you get there, the more crowded it is. On most of our cruises the crew were actively encouraging people to go to Cabanas.

Yes, Enchanted Garden, when it serves lunch, is a buffet. There are no table service options on embarkation day.

One significant difference is that at Enchanted Garden, a server will get your drinks versus at Cabanas.

It's a buffet, but you are seated and drinks are brought to you. My son has food allergies, too. When we were seated, they noticed the allergy noted on our account. They had a head waiter come over and show my son what he could eat off of the buffet. He asked if he could have chicken and French fries and they made it happen.
