Emails from DISNEY when you book your vacation.

My friend booked her trip to WDW about 6 weeks before she left. She informed me of all the emails she got about the hotel, how fast pass works, count downs, other things to do at Disney and also directions from there house to the hotel. She was told me how excited it was to get mail from Disney and how it kept her excited abou the trip. I have gotten nothing like that at all. We did book our trip on the phone with Disney and are staying at the same hotel as my friend (Pop Century). We are going to be leaving on the 20th and the only things I have gotten was the hotel confirmation. Did I miss something?

I get email from disney but they are really not related to trip, just bulk email.
I have never received emails like you said your friend got, just get the confirmation email.

I have never received any emails like that. Of course a hotel confirmation and dining confirmations are normal. That is all I have every gotten.

I remember getting them for our trip a couple years ago. Haven't gotten any since.

I received those emails for my last 2 trips but not so much for the trips from 2010 and before. I always book online.

Well I guess I am not alone and the few people who got one you are SPECIAL. I am so excited right now about going to Disney I can't stand it. We are leaving on Friday. Thanks ladies for your help.

Is it her first trip? They always ask that when you call to make a reservation - maybe they are doing something with that info now.
