Email special - Disney Destination - Stitch on the front...anybody else???

OK, here goes!

I got this email from Disney Destinations named "A special Walt Disney World Resort offer inside".

It has Stitch on it and says "We've Bitten 40%. Hurrry while there's still something left". But then, I read below and it says:

Now there's no limit to the fun, because you can see Walt Disney World Resort in Florida your way at 40% off on standard rooms at select Disney Value Resort hotels!

I don't know about you, but I thought it was only for Value resorts.
So I called the 1-407 # on the email, told them about my code... and then, they tell me that it applies to all resorts. So I booked at CBR.

How many emails/postcards did they send out... and why are they all different!?!? Talk about some confusion! I just don't want my reservation to be cancelled due to the fact that a CM got confused.... that would be a shame.

Did anyone get the same email as me?

Oh boy - that's a loaded question! Begin reading the threads at the top of this page and continue all the way down - Confusion is an understatement!

Although, I think one of the few things NOT disputed on this whole issue is that it IS available at all levels of resorts...

That was the email I got too. I ignored it for a while because I thought it was for values only too, but I quickly called once I "heard" that it was for any resort. The CM told me it was for any level resort as long as there was still availability for the 40% offer.

If you got the email and it was meant for you (not a neighbor etc.) you will be just fine!!

That is the same one I got and was able to book Poly for Sept 4-13.

what I do or don't do right but I NEVER get an email pin or a postcard. I've signed up everywhere possible and I visit 2x a year, sometimes 3.

That being said, I'm not going to call CRO and "pretend" I have a code that I don't have and risk having to pay a lot more at check-in than I anticipated. It just isn't worth it. And, don't you think (flame suit is on) that everyone calling and calling and trying to book without the pin could result in them not doing the pin promos anymore. My thought is this, If you didn't get an email or a postcard, then you don't get the discount. The end.

This is inevitably going to bite us all in the rump, rumpus room one day.

My suggestion. Make your life easier. Book the Swan and Dolphin. They don't play games. That's what we did this year - $125 at the Swan in August. Can't beat that. I LOVE the Polynesian and would love to stay there, but I can't see paying $100-$150 more dollars per night when the Swan and Dolphin offer a great location, wonderful rooms and amenities, and DO NOT make you play the code game. I think it's ridiculous.

Just my two cents - I'm sure I've made someone kind of mad and for that I humbly apologize.

My husband got that email too! It's not the same code everyone's talking about though. It's numeric and longer. We booked with "the code" but were debating whether to switch to our official code since he got it and hadn't told me (silly man!) but it says specifically value resorts and our current ressie is at WL.
