Hello everyone.

I went to the DVC website, and noticed there is no way to print nor email a copy of the reservation, so as an intrepid DVC member, I sent them a request to find out if this was possible..

How can I email myself my current reservations from the website?

The response is one part funny and one part sad...

Dear Christopher,

Thank you for contacting DISNEY VACATION CLUB®.

We appreciate your interest in a DISNEY VACATION CLUB Resort. Members
are unable to request an email confirmation letter to be sent to them
through DVCMember.com. To request an email confirmation letter, you can
either submit an email asking for the email confirmation letter or by
calling Member Services.

We have requested an email confirmation letter for your reservation at
THE VILLAS AT DISNEY'S GRAND CALIFORNIAN® Hotel & Spa to be sent to you.
You should receive it within 2 business hours.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Sincerely,

 What????

Lets narrow that down...

So I can submit and email, asking for an email instead of just hitting and "email me" button... :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

And the best part????

We have requested an email confirmation letter for your reservation ...You should receive it within 2 business hours.
Two hours?!?! What the... :headache: Where does the email come from, DLR Hong Kong? :lmao:

So in summary, we can email to request an email of our reservation but it will take about two hours to compile the info and compose the email we requested via email.... :thumbsup2

Sweet Christmas, how much is my simple email request gonna cost our dues? :lmao: Maybe they should just add an "email me" button, like all of the other hotel chains, airlines, car rentals, and service industries have....

LOL! I just went online to print my confirmation for today's checkin at VGC. It prints on four pages with horrible formatting ... the first entire 1.5 pages are all background HTML stuff.

Disney IT ... ya gotta wonder.

I tried to print the web page as well to send to TripIt, and as you said, it isn't even formatted to print cleanly from there  . :lmao:

I eventually got a nicely formatted document using copy/paste from the website into my own document. I took a few trips back and forth between screens (theirs, mine) before completing a document that contains the needed info, looks nice AND looks reasonably "official."

When I make a reservation, they always send me a confirmation email that includes a link to view/print my reservation details. Did you not get one of these?

I got those as recently as November of 2012. It does bring you to a lovely and highly printable page. I just clicked on the last one I got, and it still takes me to my page, so I assume they are sending those still.

I'm assuming you've checked your junk mail folder?

One other thing to check is your user information on the DVC member site. Do you have the correct email address entered, and do you have the boxes checked to permit them to send you emails? (I just went ahead and checked them all to make sure I never miss anything. It does mean that I'm constantly deleting advertising emails for every conceivable Disney product and service, though.)

At one time, the email confirmations were hit-or-miss for me. I'm getting them very consistently now. I haven't received a mailed confirmation in 4 or 5 trips.

I do wish they'd mail the actual confirmation, though, rather than a link to view the confirmation on a web browser. That would make it easier to archive.

Once you book you should get it within minutes, if not you need to contact MS and have them check your email registry and you need to check your SPAM folder.

I am glad they have gone Green and don't mail them anymore. It is very easy to print it once you have the email and exactly what would have been mailed previously.

I'm arriving at BLT on Sunday and I was printing off my stuff today and could not find my confirmation e-mail. I went into the website to take a screen print and it's a 5 page mess!
