Just received this email from DCL regarding Palo for our upcoming cruises...

"Treat yourself to two nights of fine dining!
There's something magical about an adult-only dinner on a Disney cruise. And now when you book a reservation online at Palo on the first night, you can reserve a second night of fine dining. There's no better way to savor the culinary magic."

Any thoughts? We're still a few days out from our booking window and we're platinum.

They've been doing this for a while.

My plan at this point is to book the first night and Pirate Night for my Feb cruise. We'll see how that works out...

Not many people like to book Palo the first night so they are trying to get more people that first night.

I would do it for our upcoming WBTA except that I want to meet our main severing team. Does that seem odd? Or should I go ahead a book for the 1st night--we're already booked for the 5th night. How late can you cancel a reservation?

Since I have second seating, my plan is to try and book Palo for earlier and then go to the MDR and meet my team and place my gluten-free order for the next night. No need to eat anything the first night - just a meet and greet. :)

I think cancellations are 72 hours prior to the start of your cruise.

You have to cancel 24 hours in advance for dining reservations. It is only 72 hours before the start of the cruise for port excursions

Reservation Cancellation Policy: Reservations must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to the reservation time to avoid a cancellation fee. Guests who fail to arrive for a reservation without canceling will be charged the full cost of the Palo dining option.

Reservation Cancellation Policies For Port Adventures: reservations must be canceled at least 3 days prior to the cruise departure date. After that time all reservations are final and non-refundable.

Thanks everyone! I was thinking they meant the first night of the cruise, plus a second night, but I wasn't 100% sure. I'm assuming it's still only 1 free palo fo platinum (wishful thinking for more).

Yes. Still one free.

Just please remember that your assigned MDR servers WILL be serving you (or others as others' servers will be serving you and others) for breakfast and lunch and still deserve their gratuities...
Never thought otherwise.
