Got here at 9:30 am (store opens at 9) and the Main Floor had a line all the way from the register to the door and wrapped around past the escalators to allow people in the store. Cray-cray! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I ran into a friend here, he told me he got to the store at 8:30 am. He said the line was already wrapped around the block and the corner- he said it was a mob scene swarm of people when they opened the doors! It was disorganized and people were walking right in from the other side of the backed up line, and just cutting into the front.

Ok back to my experience: Maneuvered my way to the register to see what was even up for grabs: classic Anna/Elsa dolls and plush Olaf. I saw people clutching tightly onto other Frozen merchandise- books, Elsa gloves and accessory sets, some Olaf thing that comes in a box-- all was sold out of that. Apparently only a couple pieces were put on the shelves because I asked one person about the Olaf boxed toy and she politely said there were only 2 out!

We went up to the second floor auditorium and waited- With everyone else biting their nails- Then at about 10:00 am CMs (store employees, are they called CMs too?) came and made the announcement on how the process was going to work and how many dresses they had in each size. I don't remember them all but maybe around 40 size 3s, 77 size 4s, over 100 size 5s, and I know there were 3 size 9/10 deluxe costumes at $149.99. Geez, what a bargain. Lol I didn't pay attention to the larger sized costume announcements because it was pretty packed in that area and I had to get some air.

Names to be drawn starting at 11, dresses can be picked up until 1 am, when the store closes that evening. Must show ID. One dress per person.

We entered in our names for the size 4, one for me and one for my husband. We only needed one dress but I was scared so we did it that way- as did everyone else. I mean, there were 77 dresses up for grabs, and definitely less than 77 children wanting that size- but, there were well over 77 adults entering their names. At least it appeared that way. We hung out in the store a while and then at 11 sharp they started calling out for size 3s. Then onto the 4s. Definitely the most amount of people wanted the 4s.

(FYI- I should say that the raffle process was VERY well organized. Great job!)

I started sweating! After several intense minutes, our number was called! DD was dressed as Rapunzel, wig and all, and people cheered for us when we won! DD was beyond excited squealing: we won!

Then off to the line to get our dress- and DD changed right there at the register into her elsa gown. What a day!!!!

*I should also note that I turned in our second raffle number, and told her not to bother calling it because we already won our only needed dress. We wanted to make sure everyone else got one as well. When we are at lunch, the store called us and told us we won our (other) dress lottery. Weird. We explained again what had happened. But honestly, I am sure that at least everyone that was there for the lottery, got a dress.

I took a few pictures. I will post when I get home.

I am....exhausted. (but happy!!)

I'm glad you got one. We are in Pittsburgh and they did it here too today, but we had somewhere to be and I was afraid she would be late. I'm going to try next week.

Waiting very patiently in the auditorium. DD very excited- look who's singing on the big screen!

What the raffle tickets look like. They are actually white and blue. I have NO idea why there's a purple filter on the photo.

Success!!!!!

Good luck to everyone who goes! It was a very easy process, at least for the dress- though it was stressful planning and not knowing! Getting the merchandise isn't bad of you are willing to wait in the line for at least a half hour or more. My husband and I could have split our time and gotten both dress and dolls, we just weren't interested in them, for the moment. We can wait.

Hooray!! I'm glad you got one. That sounds much more exciting than my frantic cart adding online. Enjoy!

This is WILD! I don't have kids and, though I've seen a few threads here, I had no idea just how difficult it currently is to acquire an Elsa dress.

It was very interesting to read. I'm so glad your little princess got her dress!

Thank you!

Secretly I have to tell you--- the hunt was VERY exciting! But, had we not won, it might have been the worst thing in the world- DD would have really been upset, even though I told her 100 times that we might NOT get the dress.

Meanwhile, she dragged the dress with her this morning at 7 am when she woke me up. She's had it on it ever since!
