Ellipticals info, please

Hi everyone -

With the summer running, comes the heat............which is not a friend of mine (presently, but I am working on it). I am looking into getting an Ellipical, but I uncertain about what to get.

Do I get manual or automatic?
What brand is best?

Right now I am looking at Norditrack 1000, from Sears but I really dont know anything about them.

I have 2 hern. disc's in my neck and I thought it would be a great way to cross train too.

Any help would be great!!

I've a link to a site that might help in your selection. I'd say definitely motorized for the fact that you will want to get a workout that will allow you a challenge as you improve.

If I get a moment I know there is a thread somewhere within WISH that would offer suggestions from others on treadmills and ellipticals I just have to see if I can dig it out.

I found the other thread. It discusses TMs here and the post #7 takes you to another thread where ellipticals were being discussed.
