Yeah.. You don't need to have a musical background to know good music.
I suck at singing, but I can tell who sucks at singing and who people will love hearing.

I agree, I thought it was weird at first. I was so confused! But she has shown on her show that she does know music. Like she says, I think she'll see what the people will want, and that'll be an interesting view. I'm totally all for giving her a chance- I LOVE Ellen! She's better than Paula. I just began to not be able to take her seriously at all!!!!

Also, not only has Ellen showed her love for music, but she knows her way around the entertainment business. She knows what star quality is, and she knows how to find talent! Yeah, I'm excited!!

Sorry, I meant like musically talented. He can't sing or play instruments. He has contributed to songwriting and produced but as far as actually singing, playing an instrument, like Paula and Kara and Randy all can, he doesn't.

He obviously has experience in the music business
