Either way I think Elin was smart to renegotiate, that way she will have a little something for her future if it doesn't.

I think that the renegotiation was a smart move for both of them. It sends a message that the marriage is important to him and it gives her a greater incentive to stick around and let him prove himself.

I joke around all the time about whacking my DH with a frying pan for not listening to me, but the reality is that a woman who seriously injures her husband is no prize. If she had killed him, her children would grow up without their father or their mother because she'd be in jail. She is someone who needs to think seriously about the consequences of her actions.

Oh that's easy. She is the wife with a couple of kids. Judges and the media tend she the "wife" as the victim and want to compensate accordingly.
Remember Lorena Bobbitt (wife who hacked off her husbands ding dong)? Now supposedly she said he raped her a lot of women felt sympathy for her. Don't know if she even did any time for that. I know the jury found her "not guilty".

I know it's not the same (infidelity and marital rape, abuse) but I think juries and the press are very sympathetic to the "wronged" wife.

Seriously, he she wants out he should just her go and pay based on the original prenup. IMO, it would be smarter PR to have her leave now rather and have that lumped in with the rest of the bad press rather than hiring her to stay married to him for 2 more year and having this most likely all brought back up 2 years from now when she either leaves him or sticks her hand out for another payday.

Tiger was a big before her and will still be big after her if they were to divorce.... These guys can easily get another trophy wife....if one leaves they will find another, with or without any bad press their careers and money making will go on.

Mrs. Bobbitt's statements were supported by other witness testimony. Also, Mr. Bobbitt's testimony conflicted with known facts.

One would think that a not guilty verdict would never result in the defendant doing time. The judge did order that she submit to inpatient evaluation at a mental hospital.

It hasn't been proven yet, true, but how much of this story has been proven? Granted, he admitted doing "transgressions" and we've heard the voicemail message he left for the one girl, but I think most of the rest of it all is all conjecture on the part of the public.

I've never heard that term either. In Hawaii we use "hapa", which means mixed/part, usually part asian, it's not a bad term. And about 70% of the population is hapa. Usually hapa would be part white and either asian or pacific islander or all the above LOL. That's what Hawaii looks like!
