I think the kids are extremely lucky to have a mother that is level headed enough to secure their future without letting emotions rule.

According to the article, they were married in 2004 and the current pre-nup doesn't vest until 2014. And then she only would get 20 million. So, she would have to stay another 5 years to secure anything for herself and her children.

If she left now, she would get child support and that is it. Her kids are Tiger's heirs, but there are no guarantees that they would get anything. Look at Bill Gates - his will only gives a million to each of his kids. Warren Buffets kids don't get anything.

Also, the way Tiger sleeps around, who knows how many other claims to the estate there would be.

Well, I'd say she's smart.

She has 2 children she has to think about supporting in the event that Tiger goes flitting off somewhere. And frankly, both she & the children should be able to continue to live in the style to which they have become accustomed. Neither she nor her children should suffer because Tiger couldn't behave himself.

From what I have read, Tiger's camp initiated the pre-nup change - his brand needs her - Tiger is a business.

IF it were me, I would want to pre-nup shift - bu then I would have had a cheating clause in there, penalizing him for each infraction.

I didn't read the article, so forgive me, but did it say it would go to the kids or is just for HER. The same reasoning that any money Tiger makes doesn't necessary go to the kids once he dies holds true for any money she gets out of the marriage if the prenup says it goes to her only. Just wondering.

She was a model for one whole year before she met him. She was working as an au pair. She seems to have come from a non-poor family, but seriously, it's not like she was a supermodel when they met...

As for wealthy/famous men who marry women that don't necessarily "match" what one expects...I can think of a few men who find beauty where others might only find a bit of prettiness.

Tacit permission? He took vows and he broke them. Multiple times. He doesn't care about permission, tacit or otherwise. He is gonna do what he wants to do-- he is obviously a chronic philanderer. Paying for it might make him think twice. His wedding vows obviously did not.

He will have a harder time doing it for a couple of years now. The paps will crawl him every time he even looks at another woman.

I think people are assuming what she's doing and thinking, we don't really know, all the people on tv talking about it are just guessing. This girl just found out her husband is cheating and apparently cheating alot. She's probably hurt, confused and you can bet "his" team is putting tons of pressure on her. Plus they have two very young children and being hounded by the press. My sister used to be married to a cheater and creates such havoc with you, know one knows what they'd do, unless they've walked in those kind of shoes and I bet having your whole life internationally talked about makes you have a pretty bad day.

Of course we don't know. Listen, I think it's pretty natural for folks to speculate on things when a public figure is involved in controversy. I don't think any one is being insensitive.
We're not passing judgement (except we probably all agree cheating stinks) and I think we all are aware that it reality no one knows what goes on behind closed doors.
