Where are the elevators located in the Mansions at POR? Are they exterior elevators that you also enter your room from the outside? Or is there a central hallway inside where the elevators let out, like a GF building or Poly bldg for example? Can the wings of the Mansions also be accessed by the elevator or only the 3 story main building?

The Mansions have exterior hallways - covered but exposed to the elements. The elevators are at the center of each building, again covered but not truly indoors like deluxe resorts. The website PP shared has great info and maps.

Enjoy your vacation!

thank you all.

I did not book here, just trying to find out if it's right for me.

Also wanted to ask you, can the wings of the Mansions also be accessed by the elevator? Or just the main building?

The elevator is just in the center section of the building, but the exterior hallways all connect. So yes, the elevator provides access to the wings of the mansion buildings as well as the center.

Since it hasn't been mentioned, and for others who may stumble upon this thread at some point, there are only elevators for the mansion section of POR - Alligator Bayou section has 2-story buildings without elevators.

Enjoy your vacation!

LOL I just came back here to post that exact information after confirming it over on portorleans.org - Thanks @lanejudy!

Just what I was going to say.
We have stayed at both areas at PO Riverside.
The Mansions are the only ones with elevators. Even though ‘central location’ might sound far, it’s not bad to get to any location

@Childs1stTime2Disney - I forgot to add this: Andre's website (portorleans.org) actually has "floor plan maps" so that if you know the room type you will need (for example, roll-in shower 2 queen beds) you can see exactly which buildings those are located in at POR and POFQ. Obviously, if you will be requesting a standard (no HA accommodations) 2 queen bed room, there's a MUCH bigger number of those - but he also color codes the maps by "river view", "garden view", "pool view", and "standard (parking lot) view" to help, and at POR he breaks out each "neighborhood". There is a map laying out the buildings for each Resort - click in the list below each map to see the room distribution in each building, and you can even download a .pdf of all of the maps for each Resort under the main Resort map.

You can see the maps here. Hope this is helpful! :)
