Elevator etiquette

Kevin - that was too funny! I am the same way. If I am holding a door open and people parade by thinking I am the doorman, I say "You're Welcome" it gets them so angry, that it makes me laugh! I tell my little one, common sense says you have to let people off the elevator to let the others get in, empty the space and then fill it!

lol yeah I made sure to teach my kids that, too bad the ladies didn't bother to learn or follow those etiquette rules!

Buses, trains, elevators, any cue line, restaurants, movie theaters and I can go on and on.

All parents are responsible to teach their children manners. I find that many do not teach proper behavior because so many are oblivious to what is appropriate themselves. They are clueless and/or selfish/self-entitled.

A big to all those parents that take on the job of teaching their children manners so that when they grow up they know how to be empathetic to others, especially the elderly.

It is embarrassing that we have reached the age when buses have to have seats labeled with instruction for people to give up "this seat to the handicap, elderly and pregnant women". My mom taught me that when I was 6.

I doubt it. If they would have a "light bulb" moment they would have apologized and gotten on the elevator after letting the couple in first.

What probably happened was both of them started to bad mouth Kevin as soon as the doors closed.

Empathy takes a long time to ingrain and their bad habits were obvious in the sub-conscience behavior that they exhibited. Me, me, me, me...
