we are going next week and my daughter's love her....but when i was looking at the character experiences on the disneyland website it said this for her

Elena has left Disney California Adventure Park to return to her kingdom, but you’ll be able to see her again soon at a Disneyland Resort theme park. In the meantime, we invite you to meet other Disney Characters.

That was me. We saw her at PFF with Snow White and Mulan less than two weeks ago. I don't know whether she showed up on the app that day or not.

She does not show up on the app when she's at PFF. Your best bet is to go over in the morning and ask a CM if you might have a chance to catch Elena today, and if so, when?

It said she's not at DCA anymore. She had her own dedicated meet and greet there. Now she's just in the PFF rotation like other princesses.

We saw her yesterday at PFF around 3:30. The sign said Snow White, Cinderella and Royal Guest, so Elena was the mystery princess. Our girls had a very nice interaction with her. She talked about her little sister with our younger one.

Merida is a "roaming" character now. Rapunzel still does scheduled M&Gs, though.

does roaming mean she just walks around? or she doesn't have a permanent spot? i thought she met with the other princesses but like randomly?

Download the app on your phone and in the mornings look at the app to see what characters are available on any given day. For some reason they begin to disappear from the app when their time is up. I guess that's nice if you want to see who is still available today, but annoying if you just want to see who is available in general. She used to meet in rotation outside the M&G area, but I am not sure where she meets now. Rapunzel used to meet after her show with Flynn Rider. I think they still do that too, but not 100% positive.

Download the app on your phone and in the mornings look at the app to see what characters are available on any given day. For some reason they begin to disappear from the app when their time is up. I guess that's nice if you want to see who is still available today, but annoying if you just want to see who is available in general. She used to meet in rotation outside the M&G area, but I am not sure where she meets now. Rapunzel used to meet after her show with Flynn Rider. Yes, Merida can usually be found roaming around Fantasyland, as is Gaston. She doesn't sign any more, I don't believe. We saw her two weeks ago outside the Red Rose Taverne.

The five-minute thing is usually for more popular characters who appear briefly so that you get in line at that time; the line will fill up right away. If it says 9:30-9:35, she's going to be there until 10 or so, but the line will likely close within minutes.

Merida and other characters doing roaming or "atmosphere" sets don't have lines, don't really stop and "pose" for pictures, and don't sign things. thanks so much for your help! we've taken them to disney world briefly once...but it was just lines, and we did a character meal...but now they really know who the princesses are so i want to make sure we get the most of it....she'll LOVE playing around with merida if we can find her!
