Does anyone own an elctro therapy device.
My chiro office has a Relia Med 350T for $85 looks like an older model 9 volt
Hubby has been looking online for some that are digital.

1.What should I look for or any recommendations??

2. Did you have to pay out of pocket or will insurance pay for it ? Having trouble with my lower back

3. Has anyone had it covered by their Flex plan account/medical reimbursement? Chiro said he would write a letter saying I need it for treatment.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated

Healthmate forever brand digital is another hubby found. Would love to know which one any of you own :)

I am assuming you are are referring to a TENS unit, it goes by other names too. If so then :

I own 2 Healthmates - purchased on Amazon, one has 6 setting, one has 12 setting (I think, its not at my house right now to look at), since its from Amazon I would have to say no to the question of insurance or flex account being used to pay for it. I would not make it thru the day without mine! I am currently using mine on my upper arm but it was bought to use on my lower back. I won't swear it truly is helpful in a medical sense vs mentally I think it works but I can tell you that I am able to walk with far less pain and enjoy life far more when I am using it, esp on vacations when I am more active than a normal day work (and I work 12 hour days as a nurse) Feel free to PM me if I can answer any questions for you. I was recently at a nursing convention at there were at least 6 different vendors selling the units in the exhibit hall so they seem pretty popular.

Thank you. The on at the chiro Office is very basic unless they have different one that weren't on display. If insurance paid for that basic I would go for it but if not I'd be willing to pay $100-$150 for a good one maybe a lil more but not over $200. I have back pain lower back, shoulder blade, plantar facciitis. My issues change change fro time to time. I pay $45 for chiro and $50 for massage so this lil machine might help me out :) When you get a chance let me know the brand info you have. Hubby said there are some that do several things like regular ecltro, acupuncture mode, tapping, cupping, tunia, guasha etc, others are plain or offer other modes. I might not ever want to get off that lil device-lol!
