Electrical Water Pageant

We were on the Beach a few nights during our stay at the Poly to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. I noticed it to be shorter than two years ago. I was wondering if some of it got damaged from the first hurricane they had. But what bothered me was all the boats that pull up in fromt of the parade blocking part of your view of the pageant. I was thinking they were the Wishes cruises. This kind of ruins the affect of sitting on a tropical beach. Do these boats pull up in front of the pageant at any other resorts?

Once over at Wilderness lodge a boat tried to come between the EWP and the people viewing on the beach, as they were so close...the comments coming from the beach suggesting for them to move must have been heard and the boat moved. (The EWP comes closer to the beach over at the Lodge then it does over at the Poly.)

I think I remember seeing a picture someone posted on this board of damage to one of the flag screens in the pageant. Perhaps that's why it it's shorter than before.

Hi, dbail2! I was looking for you at the Poly, but somehow missed you and ThreeHearts, too.

I know that some of the barges were damaged by Charley, and I would have sworn that the EWP was shorter than it has been in the past...I went to confirm this with Jeffrey in the concierge reception area, and he was certain that it was all fully restored and back to normal. I love that parade!

I personally didn't notice any boats blocking the view; we watched once from the beach in front of Hawaii and once from the dock.

Yes I was lookong for you too..We were late to breakfast everyday and did not make diner except for twice. But I was there every night for a glass of Baileys.....Yum...

It is shorter then it was two years ago. My 5 y/o DD saw it this past May and wanted to know where some other characters were at now. I can't remember which ones she said but she was right. She knew there were 3 other characters missing. Does anyone remember all of them? Okay I just asked her. She said they didn't have the sea monster that stuck his tongue out or the whale. She couldn't remember the third one. Did anyone see that this time?

Does the Electrical Water Pagent run every night? We will be there in November, and have never seen it.

Yes, it runs every night. It goes to the MK, CR, Poly, WL, FW, and GF. (not in theat order). Each of these resorts has the schedule of times, it's every 15 minutes at a new area.

THe Grand 1 from the GF was blocking the show one night when we were there in July-August this year but the rest of the nights it stayed away.

The show was the same as it has been since I can remember. I even looked at the film from 2000 and the film from 2004 and it was the same unless they removed something after the storm repairs.

The EWP always starts at the Poly. It was part of the original celebration of the Poly's opening and has stayed with that tradition.

It is at 9:00 at the Polynesian beach.

The only differences I know of throughout the year is that when the MK is open late like it is in the summer they have the pageant go past the front of the MK on the way back to its dock. The rest of the time there is not a show over near the MK. Also when the fireworks are at 9:00 at the MK the EWP runs a little later to start after the fireworks so it may be more like 9:15.
