Okay, so I hate taking my Truck to work. They charge $45/month to use the parking lot. It's not an issue for me because the parking spots are TINY and don't easily accommodate my F250. So I have to fight for a spot on the street. Again, not really an issue because I come to work early and most street/alley spots (without meters) are still open. The problem is, if I need to leave (and come back) after about 9 AM.

Add into the fact that I live just over 5 miles from where I work and in the early AM (with very little traffic) it still takes me 15 - 20 minutes to get here. Mostly idling at stop lights (Ugh) which sucks with a truck (Gas not diesel too).

Anyway, I keep looking for alternatives. Cheap "Beater" car, or even a nicer more compact solution, but they have a high cost too (Purchase price, fuel, inspection, insurance, etc...). I could take the bus. It's a $40/month to ride all you want and it comes right in front of my house, but the bus depot is about a 10-15 walk to the office, not to mention, the 20 - 30 travel time (as the bus takes a much different route then I do.) AND I am now subject to the bus schedule. When you consider I am spending about $60 every 2 weeks in Gas (not just for commuting to work but all around. The bulk though is usually commuting), it's still very attractive.

I thought of biking, but I have a few hills between work and home and really don't want to have to get all sweaty going to work. Coming home, I don't care as much, but I still have to get there without being all sweaty, so that option is out.

So I have found this new GeoOrbital wheel for bikes. It's pretty cool too. You can get about 12 Miles on a charge if you don't pedal at all (okay for my larger stature, probably about 8) but you can extend that by pedaling along, even if lightly and it's got about a 3 hour recharge time. PLUS it can achieve speeds of 20 MPH. The wheel can accommodate most adult size bikes, but it's $800 (at least now in the Pre-order phase). Strongly thinking of getting one. Just wondering if anyone else has seen these things.

I couldn't find anything about "Weight" limits on the motor. (and believe me I looked). All I was able to find was that the more weight it has to pull, obviously, the less range you'd have. I think I need a double battery pack for mine. :)

Hmm.... Specs say it goes 20 MPH, wonder how that fairs with Disney? Do you have to have a speedometer on your bike?
