Electric Kettles

Always used to take our own electric kettle for making tea but not sure if they provide them in the kitchens now. We are staying in a 1 bedroom on BWV in January. Thank you in advance.

@Hollywoodtowers We always used to buy an electric kettle every time we visited Florida then gave it away when leaving. We discovered the last time we were there that virtually all coffee machines can boil water for tea or instant coffee etc.... Felt really daft not realising that lol
You may need to take some filters.
Pour water into the reservoir and turn machine on until boiled.

All DVC villas have coffee makers.

I personally have never seen an electric kettle in any U.S. hotel.

I've found that tea made in coffee makers tastes pretty gross. I'm picky about my tea, though, and bring my own! I would consider an electric kettle.

We just use the microwave to heat the water. 90-120 seconds (for 8-12 oz usually does it).

We ask house keeping for a kettle & they bring one that goes on the stove.

Aulani has plastic electric tea kettles in the studios and larger villas. The kitchen list for BLT indicates a tea kettle may be requested, but it doesn't say if it is an electric one. I agree with CarolMN about using the microwave. I used a coffee pot once and the water smelled and tasted like coffee, so I just dumped that water, washed my cup and started over boiling the water in the microwave.

Oh my goodness can't drink microwaved hot water for tea, or even worse out of the coffee maker LOL!!!! We have never had a problem asking for a plain old teakettle if there isn't one in the room already.

We have stayed at BWV and SSR and there has always been a kettle in the room.

Water boils in a pot on the stove just fine. That is what I do if needed. It can be cleaned a whole lot easier before boiling the water.
