Press and media are ripping Michael Eisner for saying something to the affect that beautiful women are bad comedians. Don't know the story, or what prompted him to say it, but I hear it's not going over to well with many in the press. He's probably right though.

He said "a woman who is funny and beautiful is impossible to find." I disagree with him wholeheartedly. Kristen Wiig, Cheri Oteri, Patricia Heaton, Julia-Louis Dreyfus and some others are just a tiny percentage of the women I could name as my proof that he's wrong, IMO. I think he deserves to be ripped for that statement.

Just look at the cast of Hot In Cleveland.

Lucille Ball
Mary Tyler Moore
Debra Messing
Kaley Cuoco

This was just off the top of my head.

Getting ripped? Really? Can no one have an opinion anymore? Beauty and humor are subjective. He's not right and he's not wrong. It's just an opinion. You can disagree without "ripping" him.

Lucille ball and Mary Tyler Moore are a bit before my time in terms of today's ideals of beauty (though they are very pretty women, just different to women today)
But the last two are definitely very beautiful, very funny women!

He deserves to be ripped for his comments. There are tons of beautiful funny women in the world and hollywood, in fact i think there are more than there are unfunny, not 'beautiful' women.

Eisner's a public figure who made the statements in public at an event where he was talking to Goldie Hawn. He totally deserves all the criticism he's received.

I call fake outrage. Should I be offended that not one beautiful black woman was mentioned when "proving" his statement to be false?

This made me realise... Kate Hudson: funny and stunningly beautiful

I don't get the comparison. Eisner essentially made the point that women can't be more than one thing, which is offensive. Who people choose to list on their rebuttal isn't the same as someone at a public event saying something that demeans half the population.
