Same cast as above, just more pooped than before!

We had originally planned to drive over to Cocoa beach for the day, getting a room at the Holiday inn to use as base. Watching the news the night before sealed the deal. We would not be going to Cocoa. The rip current report was grim, and with the twins being so slippery we didn't want to chance an accident.
Off to MGM we go instead!!

We were a little concerned about hitting mgm on a weekend. The reason is that it is a Star Wars weekend date! Upon entering the park accompanied by the theme music from the movie we were greeted by a throng of people
As it turned out, they really didn't effect us at all!!
Most of the people were in queue to see Carrie Fischer and Peter Meyhew(chewabaca), as well as a variety of costumed characters.
We checked the status boards, and everything was pretty clear!
On to Muppetvision 3d! I can say after the fact that i don't like the preshow area for this attraction. It's not large enough to handle all those standing people for very long :(
The show was great, and the kids really got a kick out of it :D
Afterwards clark took everyone over to the great movie ride while i went and got fast pass to Millionaire for Mom and I. I hadn't thought about what they were doing and called clark on the talkabout. He promptly told me that they were on the ride and were being held up at that moment!! He held his transmit key in, and i got an impromptu audio tour of the great movie ride hehehe.
It was time for millionaire so clark and his crew went off to do little mermaid before they took off to go swim. Mom and i got third row seats for the show, and i have to say i was very impressed! Oh, the phone a complete stranger that one guy used nailed the answer right on the button!! Only thing i wasn't impressed with, is one young man was in the hotseat, and his father won the next hotseat right after, oh well
Only thing i could suggest disney on this is put the preshow instructions on the tv's in the wait area so you don't eat up so much show time on them.
Afterwards Mom wanted to go check out the animation tour. I have never been so we decided to go!
I can say this is a very nice 40 or so minute event :)
I have always felt that animation is the cornerstone for the entire Disney empire, and this show did it justice.
Robin Williams worked SO well with Walter Cronkite(two of my mom's favorite people together!!).
Only downside was we went on a Sunday, so no artists were in their wacky cubicles :p You should see some of the set ups they have!!

We still had a few hours to go till our PS at hollywood and vine. Mom wanted to relax and people watch, so she sat near the restaurant while i went and did ToT and got a fast pass to R&R coaster. I was a little dissapointed that when my time came up for r and r coaster it broke down :(
I was getting a bit worried when clark's family still wasn't back when our ps time was rolling around. They showed up at the exact time we were supposed to check in!
This was a great dinner! I can say in my opinion that the food was better than Chef mickey's. mickey's food seemed to be dry, and we had the first seating of the night!! The food here was in perfect condition and there was a wide variety to eat!(my fav was a toss between the salmon and the kids meatballs).
After dinner we took the two older girls on rock and roll coaster and ToT. They had never really been on a coaster before, and it took some major cheering on to get caitlin on them! They both loved the coaster, but ToT really got to caitlin's stomach :(
We retired back to the hotel, and i suggested we go see Bob Jackson at the piano bar at the resort.
I would like to say he was the brightest point of our stay there. His enthusiasm and extreme talent were incredible! He had kids and adults alike hooting and hollering and singing along!!(i'm listening to his cd as i type :)

What to do monday....

more to come!

Sounds like a great day! Thanks for posting. :)

I never thought that about the MuppetVision preshow area...Maybe I've been lucky to catch it at off times...Millionaire show sounds like so much fun...I'd be sooo nervous if I got into the Hotseat! The Animation tour is great! I did it for the first time in January...Can't believe I skipped over it so many trips previously!

Thanks for posting about your fun day at MGM!
Beth :p

Only 15 more days!!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

MGM sounds way better than the beach;) I also have not seen animators working while on the tour :( Something else to add to my list :)
